About
Eagle Chase Golf Club is tucked away in the rolling hills of northern Union County, surrounded by nothing but acres of countryside and farmland. The secluded locale is ideal for golf, especially since it is conveniently situated less than an hour from Charlotte. The course tumbles across lush green hills and valleys, providing almost every hole with an elevated tee or green. The undulating layout definitely plays like a mountain golf course with even lies being hard to find and a few blind shots to contend with. Water hazards come into play on seven holes, including the first three and the 12th hole, an uphill par 3 that is one of the golf course's most difficult. In addition to the course, Eagle Chase G.C. also offers a driving range, practice bunker, and chipping and putting greens.

The Hills Are Alive!
Great course with severe elevation changes. Semi fast true greens. Fairways were in great shape. Terrific value for weekend play!

Needs bigger clubhouse with grill. But all and all great facilty

Fun and Challenging Course
This is my third time playing Eagle Chase. The overall course conditions were fantastic. The greens and bunkers were superb. Eagle Chase has zoysia greens which take some time adjusting to. Spend ample time on the putting green to get the feel.
Eagle Chase is a hidden gem. The rolling terrain is much more severe than one would think when driving to the course. The elevated tee shots and sloping fairways on several of their holes just add to the challenging but fair course.

Nice Course with Elevation Changes and Undulations
Played for 3rd or 4th time at Eagle Chase. It is a little far from where I live, otherwise I would play it more. The green fees with cart were very reasonable at under $50 during the weekday. Staff was courteous. The course is in great condition and the layout is quite challenging especially if you have not played here before. There some some decent elevation changes and with slopes, you have to know where to hit your ball. The greens were firm not fast, but in great condition. I am 6 HCP and I shot 78. Could have done better but we all know that. I definitely recommend this course.

All-around great
One of the best regular-priced public courses I’ve ever played. Great conditions and layout. Sunday mid-morning round took 4hrs and 8 minutes with rangers out and keeping things moving. Fantastic experience and well worth the drive.

Tops in the area
Eagle Chase is a jewel in the Charlotte area. I have played just about every public course in the area and none can match this place. Super driving range chipping area and putting greens. The staff could not be friendlier and you get a real feeling that they are glad you are there and want you to come back.
The other golfers are friendly and the pace of play is excellent. We never wait and if you are a twosome the foursomes let you play through after a friendly request you not hold them up. We see many older and younger golfers but everyone seems to understand playing from the tees that match your skills. Even though it is 40 minutes of travel to play here it is my favorite.
This course is in the best condition of all the courses we play. The terrain is more like a high piedmont or mountain course with elevation changes that are challenging. The rough is fair but there is a penalty for errant shots as there should be. The greens roll true and are fast for public play. The areas around the greens are always well maintained and the traps and bunkers are all the same grain and sand conditions. What you get in each bunker is consistent which is very important if you play the ball where it lies..
There are no short par 3s. But the par fours and fives are fair distances for me at 71 years old.from the senior(gold) tees.

Great course off the beaten path
The course was is great shape and challenging enough to enjoy with various tee boxes for handicap. The cart path needed some work but that’s didn’t deter the fun.

Best course I've played in the Charlotte area!
Every green, every fairway, every tee box, every trap was perfect. Scenic views from several elevated tees. Pinetree lined fairways reminded me of Augusta National.

Excellent Course.
This is a great course with some unique elevation holes for Union County. I got a great deal online and was paired with some nice guys. The greens are zoysia grass which to be honest were springy nice and true to the roll. The course is taken care of and the staff was well organized and ready for the Thursday morning crowd. We moved along nicely and our foursome played right at 4 hours. Might be my new favorite—and will definitely be playing again.
