About
Eagle Chase Golf Club is tucked away in the rolling hills of northern Union County, surrounded by nothing but acres of countryside and farmland. The secluded locale is ideal for golf, especially since it is conveniently situated less than an hour from Charlotte. The course tumbles across lush green hills and valleys, providing almost every hole with an elevated tee or green. The undulating layout definitely plays like a mountain golf course with even lies being hard to find and a few blind shots to contend with. Water hazards come into play on seven holes, including the first three and the 12th hole, an uphill par 3 that is one of the golf course's most difficult. In addition to the course, Eagle Chase G.C. also offers a driving range, practice bunker, and chipping and putting greens.

STOP Letting 5somes Play
This isn’t the first time this has happened at Eagle Chase. The so called “gambling” group played with 5 today (sometimes I’ve been behind 6) holding the rest of us behind. There were over 2 open ahead of them. After waiting the entire back 9 I took pics. As you can see no group on the 15th or 16th greens (1st pics) while we watched them in the 15th fairway. The 3some in between us and the five, finished the 15th hole as did we before the 5 finished the 16th par 3, creating 3 groups on the 16th see 3rd pic).
Greens were the best part. I really liked the layout except for one or two gimmicky holes.

Great value for some peace and quiet
I got this round of a steal from a hot deal, but I would play this course at full price in a heartbeat. It's a little off the beaten path (I got stuck behind a tractor on the way there) but since it's isolated, it's a peaceful round with only the hums of golf carts to distract you. The greens were in great shape, and you could tell the tee boxes and fairways are trying to come back.
The course itself was a little tricky, but fun. The elevated tee boxes and rolling fairways provide you with opportunities to try to cut corners on some holes, while others force you to play specific shots off the tee. The greens are rather large in area, which may be good or bad, because the greens were extremely quick. I bent down to read my line with some weight on my putter, only to have the bottom of the blade slide out from underneath me; that's how slick they were.
Guys in the pro shop were great. I showed up a little early and since I was a single, they told me to go ahead when I was ready. I started about five minutes early and hit a foursome on the second hole, but they let me play through. Two more groups let me through as well, but there wasn't really anywhere for me to go. Pace of play was still acceptable though (got done in a little over 3 hours).
It might be a bit of a drive from certain parts in the Charlotte area, but it's definitely worth it if you're trying to escape the city life for a few hours.

Another Great Round!
Always enjoy playing here! Just discovered in the winter and am looking forward to spring and summer rounds. Awesome staff and patrons! Lost my headcover on course and the pro shop helped me to try and find it. Luckily another golfer had found it and turned it in. Will be playing here as often as I can!

This is one of my favorite places in the area.
I was actually surprised on the shape of this course after all the rain we have had. It’s in really good condition. The course is fun, challenging but doable..

Great Course
Played here with my normal group. It was all of our first time at Eagle Chase and we will definitely be back! Course and greens were in excellent condition. There was a frost delay that AM and the course staff did a great job facilitating start times and pace of play.

January Saturday
This course was in great shape. Greens rolled true through the whole round and we’re in great shape. Tee boxes were kept up. The staff was the friendliest and most accommodating out of courses I’ve played.

Fast Greens
I play here several times a month. The course is holding up very well fir winter golf. The greens are lightening fast. Surprisingly the course wasn’t very damp from all the rain. I highly recommend playing the course.

Great course.
Just challenging enough to be fun. Very well maintained, beautiful greens. Beautiful views of nature, no houses along the course. I play at a couple of courses that cost more, and are not nearly this nice. This will be my home course from now on.
