Eagle Chase Golf Club

Title says it all. Worth the drive to play. Staff is friendly not overbearing st all. Pace of play is a little slow. But weekends are always packed everywhere in the charlotte area. Hardest area to get tee times in the country. So that being said this course is my new go to.

Course was in great shape and a great value for a round of golf.

EC has always been one of my favorite courses close to Charlotte. The only negative thing I can say about our round Saturday were the flies and gnats. They need to something about that and or i need to get some kind of insect repellent. 🏌🏿

Loved this course. Was a very unique and fun layout for the area. Only complaint is the amount of bugs/gnats were overwhelming at points even afree applying bug spray and a few holes on the front 9 smell like poop because of the ponds there. I likely won’t return until the weather cools down to avoid both of these issues in the future. Fun course but with the drive and those issues tough to justify the drive from Charlotte.

Carts are nice and clean, course was in great condition. Greens rolled a little slower than expected but rolled true and played fairly. Got paired with 3 random people and it turned out to be a good competent group of golfers. Not a bad round for a mid-morning Friday for sure!

Took my brothers from Kansas City to play the course. The woman at the counter was wonderful and friendly. The staff tending the carts were friendly and professional. When we went to the practice green we thought they were fake because they were too perfect, annd every green was the same. It was like putting on astroturf. Family is coming in for the 4th of July and will definitely be taking them to see and play this hidden gem. Thank you Eagle Chase staff for such a wonderful golf outing!

Rolled up to Eagle Chase for the first time with 10 of us OK golfers and save for the verticut greens top dressed with sand and minor patches in some fairways, we all found the course very challenging. The general layout was good, lots of elevation with nice scenery and the staff were very helpful and professional in their approach. We have tee times to play later in the week and would recommend you give it a play.

Last year I moved to SC. A friend from Back home was down visiting some relatives in NC. This course was half way between the two of us, so we took the shot. It turned out to be a great selection. Courst was in good condition, greens were as good as any I have played in the past year, and the staff was friendly. Only negative was that the clubhouse did not have a restaurant/bar. There were beverages and snacks for sale and we made due with those. If my friends comes back we will likely play here again.

I have played this course twice now and would come back and play it again and again. It’s a beautiful course that makes you feel like you’re on the mountains. Many of the holes are scenic. The greens were in very good condition but the tee boxes needed some work along with some of the fairways. If you don’t know the course then you are likely to get into some trouble off the tee or even in your approach but that’s what makes it fun. Course management is important. Play once and you’re hooked.

We played Monday 4/24/24 and were very impressed with the overall conditions and the layout was lots of fun and is very scenic. I can’t praise the condition of the greens enough, may have been the best greens I have ever played. Great value for sure. Go play

Not an easy golf course. Greens are medium and tees are narrow to fairway. Stunning views

Didn’t have a driver for the rental set and still had to pay $180 for 18 holes including my wife’s rentals. They have no good food options at the turn. They could really elevate this place with all the money they don’t spend on nice rentals.

The course is very nice and I liked the carts. The staff was mediocre at best, not helpful with the clubs not having a driver.. again, having to pay full price for the rentals.

This course is out in the middle of nowhere so I understand they don’t want to alienate people who drive in to play there, but we had a Ranger come up and tell us that we almost hit a guy in front of us, but yet nobody was regulating the pace of play. It took 5 1/2 hours on a Saturday to play 18 holes. That’s way too long and it isn’t the first time that’s happened out there. Your course is great. the people are great. The greens were great, but if you’re paying Corse Rangers get them to be the bad guy and tell people to speed it up or they’ll have to allow faster grouos to play through.

I’m from California and I found this course while staying over the weekend in Charlotte. Best scenery I’ve ever seen on a golf course. Great layout and tough greens, I wil definitely be playing this course again
