#4 West is a cool short par three with several good tee angles into an undulating green. Photo submitted by DenisDotson on 03/28/2020

The best scenery is on #8 West - a long and testing par 5 along the Calabash River. Photo submitted by DenisDotson on 03/28/2020

Great First Vacation Round!!
I played this course as a single for a Hot Deal. The course has driving range and nice putting greens to warm-up. The staff was all friendly and I was paired up to make a four-some. We played the West Course in 4 Hrs. and 45 mins. We did have to wait on group ahead of us on back nine, so pace was little slow at times. Greens in great shape since they are Tif-Eagle you can't cut them very low with mower, but they rolled great and true. My only tip is for people playing, "fix your ball divots on green." We had a great time and I would love to come back and play the East Course!!!
OH, watch out for the gators!!
East vs. West?
I assume the extra $10-15 for the West Course means that more time and resources are spent maintaining it over the East. Tee to green, Pearl East is a great course! The traps are great, the layout is fun, and it wasn't really busy so the more novice guys in our group did not feel rushed. Some of the greens need a little work...a few of them need a lot of work. (I noticed them watering around 1:00PM, perhaps that's boiling the grass?) The other "needs improvement" area is the check-in time. It took about 15 minutes for us to pay, which cut into warmup and coffee time. The cashier needs to learn to work while he talks to the regulars. The bag drop and starter crew was awesome.
Good for beginner rec players but not for the better golfers
Greens were slow and bumpy. No rangers out to regulate play time so the foursome ahead of us just kept hacking away with 3 open holes ahead of them. Unacceptable!!! No ammenities on the east course anywhere. Never saw a cart girl and where there should be a turn shack is an empty hut. On 13 you are close enough to drive back to the clubhouse but by then what's the point
Greens didn't roll smooth. They were an older Bermuda that might've been nice 15 years ago but definitely needed to be redone. Fairway bunkers hadn't been raked in months it seemed. Cart path was falling apart. The clubhouse and the staff were extremely nice. They're 2 golf courses here and they only had 1 beverage cart running for the entire place. I think I saw her once. I will not play this course again
Great value
Very nice course. Can't beat the price. Course is well maintained. Kudos to the superintendent and grounds crew
Nice course for all skill levels
Course was in great shape. A little soggy from the previous day's rain but very playable. Five sets of tees to challenge all skill levels. Look out for alligators!
Nice an sunny
8 o;clock start greens were nice ,starter very friendly had a great day of golf with my son in law. Cart girl came around 3 times which was nice.
outstanding!
We tee'd off on time, the course is in excellent shape, greens reasonably fast. plenty of water hazards. no slow downs, played at our own pace. was not crowded. will play again and again.
Nice course
The course layout was nice and not too challenging for the average golfer. The course was in pretty good shape as well. Several of the greens were damaged but it really didn't affect play too much. Not a big fan of the "no outside food and drink" rule because we only saw the drink cart three times in 4 hours.
Gem in the Rough
This was the first time my wife and I have played in the Myrtle Beach area and we were VERY surprised how wonderful this golf course was. Would recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
Both courses are a great play
My buddies and I played 36 holes (both east and west course) in the same day. Both courses were in good shape but a bit dry in spots. The turtle back greens on the east course made for some hard play. Our replay on the west course was a slow round behind 2 foursomes of not very good golfers that were really enjoying their beers (about 5 hours). Other than that the layout was challenging and interesting. The weather was clear but hot. The afternoon round had a lot of stiff wind which made play very challenging. Would definitely replay them if I am in nearby again.
Must Play
I have played many courses in the Myrtle Beach area over the years. The Pearl - East Course is one of the best I've played to date. The course's greens and fairways were in excellent shape. This is a must play for serious golfers.
Great Course!
Beautiful layout. Great conditions. Nice quiet round. No cars, houses or other golfers to contend with. The staff really seems to want you to play and have a great day. Playing the East course tomorrow. Can't wait.
Sun&fun
Nice course in great shape. Greens are nice and smooth. The only problem is the greens slope front to back so your shots will runoff the back. One starter yelled at an old man for taking the cart near the driving range asking him WHAT DO YOU THINK YOUR DOING very embarrassing . I would play it again
Great greens
Course in good shape, greens were very good. Fun layout, would recommend this course to all levels of players.
Started slow but pace was good, conditions very good, and some creative hole layouts.
