#4 West is a cool short par three with several good tee angles into an undulating green. Photo submitted by DenisDotson on 03/28/2020

The best scenery is on #8 West - a long and testing par 5 along the Calabash River. Photo submitted by DenisDotson on 03/28/2020

Forces you to think about each shot
The Pearl East layout differs a lot from hole to hole. Sometimes you need to carry water, hit a fade around a dog leg flanked by thick trees or punch a ball under hanging limbs. Greens were in great condition and rolled very true. Staff was friendly. The only strange thing is that the last tee time is at 3:30. I finished my round ten minutes after (3:40) and wasnt allowed to go back out for a replay of their West Course. Definitely a good value for the local rate.
Great value
A great course considering the rate you will pay. The staff was also very friendly and accomadating. Greens were in excellent condition but some work could be attended to near the sides of the greens, those areas were a little shabby. Otherwise the course was a very beautiful track through the Carolina pines.
Nice place to play
Overall, for February after an ice storm, the course was in great shape. Layout is above average. Greens are excellent - quick for this area, especially this time of year. Course was pretty empty due to cold/wind so I breezed around quickly. Pro, starter, cart guy, etc. the entire staff was great! Looking forward to going back!
Another Dan Maples Gem
Staff was friendly, especially the cart attendant who was a wealth of information. Carts were allowed everywhere, which was a little surprising as there were a few wet spots, but it did make for an under 4 hour round. Played the east course, which has converted to mini-verde bermuda greens. Being a northerner, it took a bit of adjustment, but the greens were in very good shape for December. The course mostly runs through Carolina hardwood forest, but the last three holes do run along the salt marsh. The marsh besides being very scenic, adds the chance of the wind coming into play. I have yet to play a Dan Maples design that I did not find challenging yet fun to play.
nice track
played from the whites, moderately challeging but very fun. Condition was very good considering the time of year. Green were faster than I expected but rolled true.
I should keep this a secret !!!!
This is a hidden gem ,I should keep it to myself.
Course is in great shape and challenging for all levels
Staff was nice and I will certainly return on my next trip to Myrtle.
Good value for the bucks
Lots of wild life, deer, gators and turtles. Also, a great course to play.
Course in good shape. Enjoyed the round and will come back in the future.
Was able to get tee time on line and had no problems in clubhouse. Course was in good shape. Greens were a little slow from what I am used to, but otherwise through the green was a pleasure.
Great scenery
Challenging course from blue tees. Greens are crowned and on the smallish side. Fairways somewhat tight. Great views along the waterway on back nine.
Nice Layout
Fun course to play. Course received a lot of rain night before and was CPO, and greens were slow beacuse of the soft conditions. I enjoyed the course and will play it again.
Great experience
Got a good price on the east course. No one was out there on a Saturday, so they let us play the west course. Played in just over 3 hours. Greens had been aerated 3 weeks ago according to the starter, but you couldn't tell by the way the ball rolled. My only complaint would be the cart paths could use some attention.
course in excellent shape
the course was in excellent shape. The starter was very helpful and extremelly nice. greens were in great shape course in super condition
Great trees, Interesting Holes
Good track. Hitting off sand when in the rough half the time, but
worth the money. We recommend it. We played the East Course which was fine. We hear the West is even better.
could be a nice course with more attention to areas surrounding fairways and greens
Low average course. Not worth more than $60. Easy to play. Greens were hairy. Yardage markers need to be revamped.
