Rio Pinar Golf

I've played Rio on Weekends, seemed slow. This week I played on a Wednesday felt like a VIP. Everything here has been upgraded recently. The staff is very On Point. Great Food. Clean classy place right here in East Orlando.

It’s obvious the new management is putting money into this course. The new track man ball hitting area is first class. They finally got control of the rough and are cleaning up areas that slowed play due to downed trees, overgrown palmetto bushes and other lawn debris. We will play discourse again.

Greens were great. Love the layout.

All day Monday happy hour was a perfect end to a perfect day.

Liked a couple of other courses we played better and were cheaper. Very nice facilities, gps golf carts and club house. Little disappointed with fairway and green conditions!!

Rio Pinar is a nice track and they have been doing quite a few upgrades to areas other than the golf course. The course was in pretty good shape, but the pace of play was atrocious taking over 5 hours for our round. Would have liked to see a ranger on the course trying to speed things up.

The last time I played Rio was about 2 years ago; it wasn’t enjoyable, and something was always under repair…what a transformation. Someone is pouring a LOT of money into this place. Tee boxes still need work, but fairways and greens are in nice shape. Greens rolled fast but true, and fairways were in pretty good shape. Finished our round in just over 4 hours, I would definitely come back.

Well well well, 2 years on from my last visit right after the gong show of 40 minute delays at 1pm due to a lack of carts and the inside job theft where the safe was found in the middle of the fairway, and right before the German pro bought the place, and it's now a tier above what it used to be. The off course amenities for sure.

The course itself will always be the old school gem and fun track it always had been. Bunkers are prime, and greens are fast and true, which is all a good player cares about. Prime tee box grass in off season is a bonus I'll never make a negative comment about.

The price point is very fair, especially with the occasional hot deal, and that goes for the track man range as well.

1 hour in the bay with 2 large buckets is already fairly priced at 25, although I can't afford that everyday, so I wait for a hot deal, which is regularly at 16 and sometimes 11 last minute. The whole place, especially the clubhouse is now gorgeous, and the owner and his team need a huge pat on the back for their upgrades. I bet the food is awesome too. Come here... just not when I'm here... I want it all to myself unencumbered. Lol

This is the best condition that I see this golf course the new owners I guess they’ve been put a lot of money on the facilities. The restaurant is really good and the new logo really cool , greens were super fast but not receiving ( somes of them not all)the approach shots to well but I never saw this greens that well almost prestine.

loved this course, and the clubhouse amenities. You could feel the history of this club, some great photos surrounding the walls of the clubhouse, the course itself was in good condition and the greens were good but fast. Overall enjoyed the course and friendliness of the staff. Would definitely play here again given the chance.

As advertised, this is a classic course. It was in very good condition overall but the tee boxes were a not very smooth. The layout was good, not too much water or bunkers. My son, a beginner, had a great experience and so did I.

I understand they have to make money, but FAR too many tee times booked back to back. And the tee boxes, most were atrocious. Decently priced for fall golf. I paid for range balls through the GolfNow app and did mobile check in, was unable to redeem my bucket and no one around to help.

Greens were tough. Layout fair. Staff from Mike the starter to Cole the pro shop guy were awesome!

I hadn't played Rio in over 6 years, and while it was a decent course back then, it has upped its game now!

Staff was very friendly upon check-in. They even had a doorman. The new clubhouse and dining room are fabulous.

Pace of play was fine. The tee boxes were generally not good, sandy and little grass, but you could tell that they were working on them. Fairways and bunkers were mostly great.

Greens were fabulous, quick and undulating. Very easy to 3 or even 4 putt!

Course layout was challenging. I visited many pine forests, but always had an opportunity to punch out. The new GPS golf carts were nice, but the geo-fencing feature was too restrictive. There were times that we couldn't drive in the rough! Our cart had no sand for divots. The new restaurant serves some terrific food, try their ribeye sandwich - wow! Overall very good experience. I'll be back.

Pace of play was slow and the tee boxes(blue) need some attention, sandy and not much grass.

Aside from that, the course was in very good shape.

Beware, there are a lot of trees and dog legs.
