Rio Pinar Golf

Rio Pinar is a nice golf challenge. We played the gold tees at 6500 yards and that beat me up a little bit. The greens rolled nicely but were difficult because of a lot of undulation on many of them. I know that sand was good because I was in it 4 times. I stayed and ate at the clubhouse after the round. Very nice.

Highly recommend! Greens are in excellent condition and fast, staff very friendly and accommodating, clubhouse is excellent with nice bar/dining area and the many pictures from hosting the past PGA Citrus Open was fun and interesting. Practice facility is great though you hit off of mats that are in great condition. Enjoyed my round and will play again when in the area.

RIo Pinar offers a true challenge, excellent conditions, great history and a professional staff that is hard to beat. The best value in greater Orlando.

I’ve played this several times on past visits and it was left to die which was tragic given its history. A new owner has taken over and it’s being restored to its former glory. The club house is first rate and the staff is terrific. The course is coming along and the conditions are good considering it’s winter. The tee boxes need some work. It’s a bargain.

Course was in great shape for this time of year. Greens were very fast and rolled true. Challenging track.

The course is still recovering from a hard winter. Fairways are coming in but still very tight. Greens were fine quick and true. Layout is great. Overall enjoyed the round, staff was very helpful and friendly. Would recommend this course.

Went to Rio straight from the airport, first time there. Staff was very helpful and accommodating.

Abundant practice facilities.

This former home of a tour event had fallen on hard times when I played it years ago. The course and clubhouse were in terrible condition. I took a chance and played it and was amazed at its restoration. The clubhouse was first class. The staff was friendly. The course was in good condition given that it is winter. Its former glory restored this a rare bargain in Orlando. Once the word gets out it will cost $100 plus a round.

It was my first time here and I really liked it. It can be a course that's not too difficult, IF you hit fairways. Spray it a little, and watch out. I had several holes in the trees and it can take 2 shots just to get back out. Tree roots can really jump out and grab your ball if you're out of position. Bunker sand was a little inconsistent, but that's why they're a hazard. Overall, I definitely liked the course and would love to play again when I'm back in the area.

This course is famous for overbooking. Teed off 12 minutes late and waited on every hole. It was so bad that the group I played with (all who I’ve never met) quit after 9 holes. It was certain that we wouldn’t be able to get 18 holes in.

Also there wasn’t a beverage cart which is a loss opportunity for the a course packed full of people needing a drink.

The staff are friendly and this is a good facility hopefully this feedback will help the management to make this a good experience for their clientele.

2nd time playing here this week with large group 16ppl. Need work on the tee box but it’s not that important. Fairway is ok just a few bare spot here and there. Green are in excellent shape and fast. For $110 weekends. Can not complain compared to others cost a lot more.

Course is in good shape, greens running fast snd true. Frost delay in the morning pushed start times back, but thats no reason for a 5 hour round once you tee off. No ranger in sight all day. Terrible. Braylon the cart girl was fantastic, attentive, and on the ball!

First 18 whole course since moving to Orlando. Did a little common sense as my daughter has a tournament in two days. Heard nothing but good things that the layout was great, and new management is putting money in. This is clearly evident by not only how welcoming the staff is, how proactive they are, but also just overall maintenance of the course. Winter grass was in yesterday, so lies were tight facilities overall are really nice, but would likely benefit from different hitting surface on the driving range. Not to harp on the driving range, but the roof is a little low, and in my experience Trackman range app is not the same as the launch monitor.

For anybody that’s from Arizona, or has been there, this definitely screams Dobson Ranch Golf Course vibes, which is a great thing and speaks to what this course can be. Will definitely be back!
