Better than it was, still not great.

Rio is slowly getting better, just a bunch of small things that are weird.

Pros

- excellent layout for an easy afternoon out

- course has a lot of new developments happening

Cons

- literally no carts available. There was a line multiple groups long to wait to get a cart.

- when asking for a pull cart to walk, you could pay $40 to rent one. Excuse me? No place should have this policy.

- range closed when course open, no explanation

- turf in rough shape. (Better than it was)

- not worth the price they are asking (yet)

Course is in ok shape - starting to see the results of the recent investment.

Pace of play continues to be an issue here. 5 hour round without a ranger in site - hard to recommend that to anyone!

Grass and staff.

The fair ways and some of the putting greens have no grass. However the clubhouse is well designed and looks new. Staff are really friendly and professional. The owner took his time to show us the back room with Arnold Palmer memorabilia. Much appreciated.

Course vs pace

The course was in good shape overall and really like the layout.

The issue is pace of play. We had to wait at the turn as they let people tee off on the back. Front was a little less than 2 hours. Back nine was ridiculous as it took 2:45 minutes. This is the third time this has happened. It I

GOAT RANCH!!!!!!

They spent a ton of money to redo clubhouse looks great!! Spending ton of money on driving range, bays and trakman which will be great. Staff was very nice and professional. Spent money to redo bathrooms on course, very nice! They have spent NO MONEY ON COURSE OR CARTS!! Fairways are pretty much hard pan lies of dirt weed combo! Greens like concrete! Tee boxes marginal at best. Bunkers a mess no sand. Carts barely turn, wheels look like about to fall off. One cart died on 15. I have been playing here since 2005 worst course conditions ever scene and was $75.00 bucks a person. TERRIBLE!!!
