This was a great course. Great staff. Had a great time
Bring your patience (or a good book).
Had a1:36 tee time, but went off about 20-25 minutes late due to a tournament (outing). Played at a blistering pace of 5+ hours behind a very slow foursome. No marshals on the course, because they all worked the tournament and went home. Then they were nice enough to send someone out to ask us if we were going to want anything to eat or drink following our round because they wanted to close.
No, Dude, we just wanna be done….
On a positive note, the course was, for the most part, in excellent condition.

Not bad!
Loved the layout, condition of the course was really nice (greens need a little TLC), it's a beautiful well designed course .. our only complaint was the pace of play. We were over 5 hr .. very slow. We golfed a few courses that week and this course was the slowest by far. No rangers to help move things along. OH and cart paths were in rough shape .. would highly recommend new cart paths!! This course is definitely on the tougher side, but a nice challenge.
Great Affordable Venue
Nice layout at a great price. I didn’t expect much due to the low rate, so we were surprised.Conditions were perfect. The staff is a bit surly but ignore them and you will be OK.
Great course run very well
The course was in great condition and challenging. The staff kept things moving so pace of play was perfect. The price was lower than all the other local course, which only makes the choice of this course even better.
Excellent Value
Played Burning Ridge for the first time today. And it definitely goes on the list of places to play again. Prices are extremely high this time of year at Myrtle Beach and I felt like this course was a great value. Paid $50 for a 2 PM tee time. The course is in very good shape. Tees and fairways are nice and green. Most bunkers were ok. A few still had standing water from the heavy rain over the weekend. The greens and surrounding areas were OUTSTANDING! Nice pace. Very smooth. Worth every penny. The course is lined with pine trees and the corridors are relatively tight. But not so tight that you feel closterphobic. I am an average bogey golfer and only lost 1 ball. There are 4-5 forced carries. Some of them relatively short carries on the end of a par 5. And then 2 longer par 3s on the back with pretty long carries. All in all a really good course and a really good value and well worth the money.
Starter
Starter sent us out 10 minutes earlier than time booked. Thought this was good news but it caused a bottle neck. Not impressed!
