Bear Creek Golf Club

Course was nice layout and the Staff was extremely friendly & accommodating . The course was in ok shape other than bunkers, which were not very good or playabls

Played this course last three years.good price for on island course. Greens a little bare in areas and some poa made some bumpy putts , golfers need to be more careful to fix their ball marks as this contributed to the bumpiness. SomeTee areas a little bare but overall not bad. Sand traps need a good raking but have same to say about all the courses I have played in area this year ( old south , pine crest, dolphin head, national ).

Significantly cheaper than a lot of other courses on the island. My problem with it is that from the white tees, it takes driver out of your hand way too often. A lot of pronounced doglegs where the far end of the fairway at the dogleg is all bunkers, and if you hit it more than 225 you're in the bunker. If you are able to shape shots left and right pretty well, this probably isn't a problem for you. I cannot hit left-to-right. So on any dogleg right, I was stuck with 4 hybrid. Just too many of those for my liking. Good golf course. Son liked it. Just doesn't set up for me.

The course was quite impressive, with some challenging but fun holes. The entire staff was great, and we felt quite at home. The pace of play was perfect because we had no one slowing us down; in fact, we had just over a 4 hour round. Paring the 18th hole capped off the entire day.

It would be great to have course maps at the tee box and / or a GPS system.

Course is short and tight off the tee, but very nice and affordable considering the competition.

Bear Creek was our final course for our trip to the island this year. It had been a number of years since we played here and it did not disappoint. There was an slight issue with our tee times, but Emily and her friendly staff got all 12 of our guys taken care of and out on the course with much delay. The course is fun, challenging in spots, and the greens were in amazing shape. The entire area has not had a ton of rain, so every course had it's dry spots nothing to critique course maintenance about. We are excited to get Bear Creek in a more consistent loop of courses we play now. If you need a place to play while on the Island you will not be disappointed.

Coarse was in good shape . Greens had some poa grass but had more problems from people not repairing ball marks.if you don’t repair your ball marks you should not complain about green conditions. Good price especially for on island golf where prices seemed to have jumped about 20 dollars from last year. Price about same as last year but didn’t get lunch ticket this year.staff was friendly and helpful in recommendations of conditions were at other coarses in area. Our group stays on island for two weeks and we will play other runs but will probably return here for another round.

The course was in great shape. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food and Cocktails were excellent! We played here several times while on vacation.

Great course for one getting back into golf after 6 months of winter. We thought it was good value for money, until the twosome we were with told us they were paying about one-third less than us (because their hotel had a deal).

Much better than the expensive Robert Trent Jones Course

Plus that course allowed walkers - that slow down the game for everyone

We liked Bear so much we played it a 2 nd time

We thoroughly enjoyed our round at Bear Creek. Course was in great condition. The only criticism was that there was a group of 5 playing together which significantly slowed down play on the back 9. There were no Marshalls on the course to deal with this.
