A lot of sand traps, and deep ! At driving distances and very protected greens.

Great value for your money. Course in great shape. Challenging but still fun. Will be back.

Fair track to play. Great greens. Play was slow. Must get a lot of play.

This is a wonderful layout - a combination of classic parkland and well guarded fairways and greens. It's straightforward in that you can see most holes and landing areas, even the hazards.

I was disappointed by the conditions on the greens and in the bunkers and bunker surrounds. In prime season, this course should be better maintained and manicured. The sand in the bunkers was inconsistent and the bunker and green surrounds were like waste areas. The greens themselves were true and smooth but looked and felt strange with a darkish green hue that is different from anything else I've experienced. Overall, a 7 out of 10.

I think this is most well maintained muni in the Phx area (& golfers please help by fill divots & fix ball marks). Staff is excellent, also the best in Phx (go Antelopes).

Pace could improve but it’s not bad. Played 3x and always around 4 - 4 1/2 hours. Practice areas are good and new clubhouse is great.

GCU is doing an excellent job at this course. But please don’t rush out to play it. I prefer this be a hidden gem.

The fairways were in great shape and the greens were fast but fair pin locations and greens were not undulated to the point where they were hard to read or putt. Only complaint was the pace of play due to a slow group in front of the 3some in front of us. 5 hours to finish. Other than that would recommend playing this course. Course was in great condition. Greens rolled true with Moderate pace. Fairways and bunkers in good condition. Would definitely play again.

For first timers here, carts do not have GPS or yardage information. There is no course overview on scorecard and many holes are doglegs.

Course was much like many municipality golf courses. Slow play, sand traps needed work, fairways needed repair. Not well marked for distances. No bathrooms on course or at least we could locate. Did not see or talk with a Marshall’s to regulate the pace of play.

Maybe the course would be better at a different time of year.

Enjoyed, too many bunkers but would play course again.
