Grand Canyon University Golf Course (formerly known as Maryvale Municipal Golf Course) offers an 18-hole track designed by Ted Robinson, Sr. and built in 1961. The par-71 golf course measures 7,269 yards from the championship tees and is open year-round.
The Bermuda grass Grand Canyon University Golf Course gets plenty of shade during the summer, thanks to several onsite trees, and features flat and wide fairways.
The fourth hole, for one example, is a 160-yard par-3 where you'll have to shoot over the water - and past the brick wall that separates the green from the water.

AMAZING COURSE VALUE
Easy to Walk. Deceptively long. Always take 1 club up. Don't go short! Bunkers are shallow. Use Low bounce sand wedges.
Needed the marshal to keep things moving. Round took 4hr 40 minutes
Classic Phoenix track
Golf course is in good shape coming out of over seed. Staff is always friendly, smart to get the GCU ladies out in force. Tees were a bit hairy, fairways were a bit grown out, but greens were very solid and you can see it getting right back into shape. Teed off at 7:54 on a Sunday and played in 4 hours walking, so that is a good pace.
Nice back and forth course
Well maintained, nice course. Mostly back and forth course, hard to lose a ball! Lots of well positioned traps

Very much worth the money. In good shape and the greens putted true
A little slow
The course was in great shape and the greens were premium. Only saw a course ranger once and that was on the first tee, not sure what the reason for the slow round was.
Nice course that could be so much better
Great looking course; very deceptive, plenty of variety and above average greens. But today the course was water logged - someone needs to ease off the irrigation.
By far the wettest conditions I have encountered in Arizona. Maintenance staff needs to do more than cut the grass.
