About
Grand Canyon University Golf Course (formerly known as Maryvale Municipal Golf Course) offers an 18-hole track designed by Ted Robinson, Sr. and built in 1961. The par-71 golf course measures 7,269 yards from the championship tees and is open year-round.
The Bermuda grass Grand Canyon University Golf Course gets plenty of shade during the summer, thanks to several onsite trees, and features flat and wide fairways.
The fourth hole, for one example, is a 160-yard par-3 where you'll have to shoot over the water - and past the brick wall that separates the green from the water.

Top notch greens
Nice course for the money. Very good greens and lots of sand.
Great rolling greens
Good value for our money.
Better greens than many private clubs, fast, receptive and true.
Course was packed and play slower than I like, but other groups were respectful and hit into other people.

Very good value for this time of year in AZ Beautiful conditions
Awesome course conditions.1st time playing here. Fairways very green and cut real nice. The star of this course is the greens. Rolling fast and true. They are large so if you get away from pins better have your lag skills in order! Bunkers are pretty deep and large but are very well kept with groomed sand.Pace of play was just over 3.5 hrs, could have been quicker if didn't get held back 1st 3 holes by a walking 4 however they let our 3 ball with carts play through on #4 then it was off to a quick round. Put this course on you list!!

Nice course great greens. Mix of walkers and carts add for a 4hr 30min pace of play.
Great challenge
2nd time to play this course, it is a bit of a challenge, but worth it. Pace of play for around Christmas time was great. Can’t wait to play it again.

Don’t let first impressions worry you. Looks like a bad muni and a 5 hour round when uou drive in but turns out to be a challenging course and a 4-hour round! Staff is ultra friendly and hard working - very enjoyable round - will definitely be back...
Good course, fast green
Greens were rolling super fast! Course seemed a little wet.
Monster sand tramps
Fairways in good condition. Greens were excellent. Sand traps are huge and deep.
