Villa de Paz Golf Course was voted the top affordable 18-hole course in the Valley of the Sun, according to the Arizona Republic. The parkland course challenges top golfers, though it's not so difficult that beginners will wish they'd golfed elsewhere. After a 2002 remodel, the par-71 course measures 6,700 yards and offers water on 10 holes. If Phoenix in summertime intimidates, fear not: at Villa de Paz Golf Course, shade abounds, due to mature trees lining several fairways. Shoot for birdies or eagles, do so, but wisely. Reward has risk. Shooting sharply is especially required on holes like the fourth, a par-4 450-yarder with a severe right dogleg. Hitters dig the seventh, eighth and 15th, par 4s that can be nailed from the tee. The 18th mixes distance and skill. The par-4 470-yarder doglegs right and requires a carry over a lake to reach the three-tiered green. Fancy a warm-up before the Villa de Paz Golf Course? Nice golf course
I've played this course before and always enjoy coming back too! I like the back 9 more then the front, maybe cause of their views. But then the back 9 has several Parr 5'S is nice too!
Value, wonderful. Start was a great price and bouce back price better. Played 2-18s, I was wipped out
Why do I do it.
I have never liked this course, yet I come back. It is run down like the neighborhood.

Ants!
I played Villa De Paz because it was inexpensive and I live close. I knew the neighborhood was not the best, but I risked it anyway. The course was in terrible shape. On top of that there little black ants ALL over the course. 4x's I stood to wait for a shot, only to find ants crawling up my leg, biting me. I was so covered one time they were on my arms. I couldn't get them off. Needless to say, my play was terribly affected. Pay the extra and play a nicer course.

A challanging course for three of us
We were very pleased with the facility & friendliness of staff.
The course is maintained but limited to tree pruning and watering.
The water hazards were very dirty.
We enjoyed our 18 holes of golf.
Thank you for your feedback. We are glad that you thought the staff was friendly. This time of the year is a transition period where the rye grass dies and the bermuda grass starts to come back in, which makes it looks like the course has not been watered. Please come back and see us again!
Average course in rough shape
This is a fairly straight forward course. There are a lot of terrible lies outside the fairway along with center cut. Many of the bunkers are in incredibly bad repair and all of the hazards have weeds growing around them. One of the lone highlights is that the greens will hold a well hit shot.
The cart fleet is about 5 years past needing an upgrade and the lone golf shop person that I encountered was nice enough. The one thing that the owners of the course cannot control is the surrounding community. Scenically it seemed that it was a 3rd world country with many of the houses in disrepair. It just made the entire experience rather weird.

This course has the traditional quality that brings out the spirit of the game! Tight and tree lined fairways that golfers need to shape shots. A must play for those who like quality and value!

Great Day To Play Golf
Course staff friendly and paired with another single. Took 3 hours to complete round. Course in fairly good shape, but a few greens on the back nine cut to short. Course beverage cart person came by 3 times and was very pleasant. Pace of play was excellent and recommend this course because of its convenient loacation, friendly staff, and course difficulty.

We had a great time , very relaxing with a good pace, included lunch which was great.
Prime Time Season
Course was really green but very deceiving. Lots of hard pan in fairways. Greens looked good but where slow and very bounce. I would hit a ProV1 into the greens and my ball would bounce 4ft high and then roll 15ft. I play to a 5 handicap and so when I see my ball react like that from the greens I'm disappointed. Sand traps were nice!!
Great course!
This course isn't very difficult, but it's definitely worth the value. Green all around, lakes here and there, wide fairways, great overall!

Pace was very slow but everything else very good.
No teeing off before 3.00 !!
Just about every course we book through Golf Now will let you tee off early if the tee box is vacant but for some reason Villa De Paz is very adamant about waiting till 3:00. We putted with 5 other golf parties from 2:30 till 3:00. No golf parties teed off between 2:30 and 3:00 and then at 3:00 they called us a party at a time. Of course it was wide open on the course between 2:30 and 3:00 and then we had to manage the 5 parties who were golfing at a discount! I realize the price goes down at 3:00 but it 's common sense to me to get the discount golfers off a little early if possible to keep a better flow. Just Saying!
Nice pace!
The course was in good shape and we had a almost no wait. Were done in 3 1/2 hours.
This course is player friendly
Stay in the fairways and all greens are reachable in regulation.
