West at Eagle Valley Golf Course
About
The West Course at Eagle Valley Golf Course winds through the Carson City foothills at the base of the Eastern Sierra. The links-style layout features an interesting variety of holes that provide a formidable test for even the most advanced players. The fairways are lined with native desert vegetation that grows tall enough to provide some challenge and several water hazards are strategically placed throughout. The dramatic elevation changes in the rolling landscape also require forced carries. Accuracy is vital to doing well on the golf course, offering a true risk-and-reward experience. For golfers wanting a more relaxed round, Eagle Valley offers the less daunting East Course.

Good afternoon
Eagle West is a fun and challenging course
I will definitely return
Eagle Easy
Nobody there so I finished quicker than expected.
The course was payed out okay but could use an extra restroom.
Staff was friendly and helpful.
Good shape
The course is in good shape and the pace of play was great!
to much fun
Managed to luck out and get out after a tournament as a single. Always enjoy playing this course, cause it really suites my game. Every thing about the course was in good conditions, greens were not to fast and the ball rolled well. Now the fun part, I only encountered one 4 some which let me go through, so the round only took me 2 hrs and 40 min. Way to much fun playing speed golf, I was trying to finish in 2 1/2 hrs. Some times playing by ones self can be a lot of fun. Looking forward to the next round at EVW.
West course
The fairways were great. Greens were good. Nobody in front or behind me, played 2 balls most of the time
Great day!
Timing was perfect. 12:30 tee off. Never caught the group in front, and no one behind us. Weather perfect, just the way it should be.
fun course
Played for the first time here, by myself in 3 hrs and waited on a 4sum for 4 holes The course was in great shape. The fairways are fairly generous, and the rough wasn't to penalizing as the ball sat up in the rough. Loved the speed of the greens just right . Loved all of the par 3s as there wasn't any one of them longer than 160 yds, my kind of par threes. Playing from the whites all of the par 4s were reachable in two for me, which I loved. Lots of ups and downs and dog legs, makes for a fun and interesting course. Really looking forward to playing here again.
Eagle Valley West
The course was in good shape and not crowded. We completed 18 holes in 3 1/2 hours. We found the greens tricky as evidenced by our multiple 3 putts. We are not big hitters, and found the length of the holes challenging without being unfair.
Fun on a windy fall day
Beautiful views and fun round on a blustery fall day..
Interesting
Played whites Rough is very penal Enjoyed the variety of holes Tough course foe lafies
Good course to play
Had a good time on Labor Day vacation. Mixture of challenging and recovery holes to make the game balance out.
Fun day
Fun course I good shape. Pace of play was good.
Breakfast sandwich was excellent
Fun course
Very challenging course but fair. Need to play it a couple of times to understand the nuances of the course. The people who complained about the shooting range are probably the same ones who complain when a bird tweets when they putt. I only heard the shooting when I was on the green and it was not a problem at all. I really liked the long par 5, I had to play position because I had no chance to get there in 2. I would play it again next time I am in The Reno area.
Flat but interesting.
I thought the course was interesting, but flat. I think the grounds people were trying to keep the course in good shape, but there has been a lack of rain in the area causing some portions of the fairways to be burned out.. The pace of play was excellent [3 1/2 hours].The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
A sleeper
Things started out a little iffy because we were behind a shotgun tournament. But pace of play was not horrible and things really picked up once the tournament ended.
The first few holes were fairly plain, but once the course turned uphill really became interesting. Plus Carson City is one of the best places to play golf in Nevada if you want to get away from all the bright lights big city stuff of Reno and Vegas.
Great test of golf in great shape
Great challenge, fast greens, great shape! Very enjoyable round.
Women's Tee's
Fore,
My husband and I had a wonderful time in 50 degree temperatures. We were staying at the Hyatt and Eagle
Valley was a surprise - no snow and conditions were perfect. Because we are from California, we were impressed with the luscious greens.
Don't hesitate to play Eagle Valley - it's a rare find in Carson City.
IF YOU HAVEN'T
I'm a 30 handicap trying to improve. This course was an excellent challenge in great shape. I managed a 103. Great terrain, beautiful views, wildlife. We managed to play through in 3.5 hours. I will definitely be back. Look for deals on Golfnow.com
