Toiyabe Golf Club

The course was in great shape for this time of year. High winds are obvious here. Biggest negative is the yardage markers, or the lack of them. Not one hole had yardage markers anywhere, makes sense there aren’t any PAT or PGA events here since you MUST rely on a range finder. The course is over watered like lakeridge, I played black tees and 6 holes was on standing water, the other tee boxes were far from flat. The practice green is useless, every putt is about 2-4’ incline and decline, nothing like the course speed either. Get some yardage markers out there and we are good! Challenging course just shouldn’t challenge your guessing game with approach shots and blind corners. Dayton Valley has it beat unfortunately.

Windy! Had a start time after 12:00. The wind was fierce. The course is layed out nice. Well kept. Fast greens. Hidden hazards for the first time visitor.

Lucked out with a perfect day and very little wind. Only complaint is pace of play. Could not finish the last few holes because of darkness and teed off at 1:00. Golf is a 4 hour round MAX people. Drive to ball, get out of cart. Hit ball. Repeat. C'mon man!

We were really impressed! Great conditions. Obviously, wind is a factor, but it's one of our favorites.

Excellent golf course always. The only complaint I have is the bar employees that have no clue what is on their menu. Also someone that doesn’t know how to count money back?

Always a treat to play this course. Definitely a hidden gem. The locals know the course well so reserve early. The only issue is it gets windy often.

I made Tee time week prior to going the weather was suppose to be 68 and sunny. A front came in making it a high of 58 and overcast. The course wouldn't let anyone out until 12 so we got started 15 minutes late. There were so few people on the course game pace was fine.We had a cover and a heater so it wasn't that bad, but had I not a pre-paid tee time I wouldn't have went. As for the course it's in good shape and I play it often, I like it.

1 hour delay with my tee time. When it was my turn they did not have enough carts so half of my group left early and I waited another 10 minutes for a cart to arrive. I finally received my cart and went to tee box. When I arrived my group was still on the 1st hole waiting for the group ahead to finish putting.

This continued through out the round. We eventually ran out of day light when we arrived at 14 hole and finish the round early.

The course was beautiful. Challenging layout. Overall the course was good, the staff was good, the prices were fair. The complaint is the same as all the other courses in the Reno area. They seem to over book the course. We teed off after lunch. We had to wait 20mins for a cart. They were all in use from the morning golfers. Once we started to actually golf..we had to wait on every single tee box for the group in front of us. We decided to jump a hole in front of the slow group in front of us. That didn’t work. The course was stacked up 3 or 4 holes in front of us! Dozens of groups waiting to tee off. So we fell back to our original spot. Golfed for 5.5 hrs and only made it through hole 14. It got dark on us about 6:30. So we had to leave before even finishing our round. Only got to play 14 holes. Disappointing.
