The Wizard Golf Course

Got a hot deal. Nice course. Good pace of play.. Would recommend.

The staff wasn’t very friendly . We asked them why they book groups of 5 because we literally waited on every tee block with the group ahead of us . There was 5 groups on 10 as we made the turn. We played a nicer course for 1/3 of the money and it was in better shape . It only took 3-1/2 hours compared to 5 at the witch

My only issue is that I played there twice in the past week and have always been charged more than Golfnow says I should.

Played 1:00 Wed. Arrived at 11:30, course includes deli sandwich/ 2 dogs and 2 beers in cost of play. Pro shop is proliferate, guys behind the desk are friendly. Grass range, a plus, bag o balls $5. Played 4 hours 20. No pun intended. Tee boxes to Greens were in fantastic shape. Best course conditions I've seen in 3 years. No GPS on the carts, but not any real blind shots. Watch/laser handled that issue. The ONLY issue was no bathroom on the back nine. I would play here anytime I came back to MB.

Everything was just perfect. Actually one of the view golf courses, where even the rough is already thick and green right now. The greens are fast. The layout is beautiful, especially the last two holes with island greens. Pace was also good and staff was friendly. It was definitely worth going there and paying a little more than further up north.

I hadn’t played the wizard in years - I remember it being a challenging course but in great shape. Still is on both counts. The greens were lightening fast so nice and challenging. Only issue I had was pace of play - they really should have Marshalls out there. It was a 5.5 hour round / a foursome a few groups ahead of us were more interested in looking for balls in the water than actually playing golf - there was nobody in front of them and a pile of us waiting behind. To me this is inexcusable in a tourist drawn course. I do love the layout but not sure if I would go back due to the pace of play

This course was fun to play for all levels. The greens were fast and well maintained!

The lunch, drinks and snack add on as part of the Good Now booking was a great addition with tremendous value!

Played with my wife and a resident. We liked it as it was a fair challenge for both my wife and i. Rich, the resident, was a real pleasure to play with, which added to a fun day on a nice course that was in very good condition.

This course is is a challenge but it is playable

The fairways are wide enough to keep your ball in play most of the time

There is just enough water and hazards to keep you from getting board

As a senior, I played from the red tees and that was long enough for my game

The greens were fast and unforgiving if you hit it too hard on a down hill putt

You had to keep your head in the game if you were going to score well

I like good deals but as a PGA pro I also like good courses. The Wizard check marked both. it is the best bang for your buck. cost us $61,00 plus we got 2 beers a sandwich and a bag of chips. it was in awesome shape compared to the expensive ones we played and was also fast paced. Well done Wizard.

Overall it was a very fun round. Greens were great but the rest of the course was still in winter conditions. That being said, I look foreward to playing again sometime when thing green up a bit.

The staff was friendly. And accommodating.
