About
The golf course at the Ventura Country Club, situated east of Orlando near many major highways and the airport, is semi-private but the facility welcomes outside play. It is a short course that features undulating greens with sudden breaks. The golf course has challenging par-3 holes that put a premium on shot accuracy. There are strategically placed bunkers throughout as well as water hazards on 14 holes. Most of the well-manicured fairways are lined with homes. The par-5, 13th hole is Ventura Country Club's signature hole. It requires a shot from an elevated tee over water and past thick forestry on the left and an approach shot to small, well protected green that slopes back to front.

Fairways and greens were concrete hard.
Water this course to soften it up.
It was like concrete.

Great layout. Requires some shot shaping. A few holes require carry over water. Course can play very tough on a windy day.
Would play again
Course is in reasonable condition, greens were very slick but had some patches of course grass on some that made them a bit bumpy but still very playable. The course appeared to be suffering from lack of water as the tees were dry and sandy and fairways a bit lacking in grass coverage, having said that the course is very playable with a good variety of holes and all the staff were very friendly. Good value and worth a visit.

The combo of lots o' play and little rain has this place very worn in places. I'm sure they're trying their best. Greens are being infiltrated by crabgrass, can affect putt.
It’s called a total dormant golf course which hasn’t happened in 16 years, and as far as crab grass false news it’s Poa which is a big problem for everyone in central Florida ,
Very challenging putting on the greens.
The greens are very fast and hard, difficult to read the speed and breaks. Fairways are okay, S one would expect they would be dormant this time of year.
Great afternoon of golf at Ventura
Course was in pretty good condition. There were some bad spots on a few greens, but they didn’t affect my play. The greens rolled true and were lightning fast.
Lack of grass
There was a lack of grass in many places…
Tee box especially, around the greens , some fairways. Also
The greens were about to be lost due to lack of growth , a little to fast for greens that weren’t in good enough condition.
I usually like and enjoy this course … but right now it’s in its worst condition. 😕
Need a Ranger
As we teed off there was a five some in front of us with children running around. We had to skip a couple holes to even come close to finishing before dusk.
Love Ventura
I love Ventura but this time I have to complain to GolfNow and maybe Ventura to. I have tried to talk to GolfNow through email or Facebook as I is not good talking on Phone but they dont answere. This teetime was canceled becous of tournament at Ventura and Ventura say that GolfNow shouldn't not have sell teetime that day but they probably forgott to cancell it but I payd a hot deal for 3 but I dit not get refound
Ventura Country Club: A Solid Orlando Golf Gem
This course is a pleasant surprise tucked away in an Orlando neighborhood with well-maintained fairways and immaculate new Bermuda greens that run true. The layout is interesting with generous fairways, subtle elevation changes, and some challenging par-3s that stick with you. Pace of play was solid; finished in about 3.5 hours, even with groups ahead. The 19th hole serves up a solid smash burger and drinks after your round. Only minor gripes: carts don't come with coolers, calgaryprayerimes.com, so bring your own beverages, and the greens can be a touch slow at times. Great value for the Orlando area, definitely worth a tee time.
