About
The golf course at the Ventura Country Club, situated east of Orlando near many major highways and the airport, is semi-private but the facility welcomes outside play. It is a short course that features undulating greens with sudden breaks. The golf course has challenging par-3 holes that put a premium on shot accuracy. There are strategically placed bunkers throughout as well as water hazards on 14 holes. Most of the well-manicured fairways are lined with homes. The par-5, 13th hole is Ventura Country Club's signature hole. It requires a shot from an elevated tee over water and past thick forestry on the left and an approach shot to small, well protected green that slopes back to front.

Tired old course
This is an old tired course. It was off season golf so we didn’t expect the course to be lush or the greens to be in optimum shape however it was really neglected. The setting is pretty, the layout is confusing.
Nice course Overall
The course layout is great. Staff are helpful and friendly. The fairways are decent. The greens condition are not the best, need improvement.
Favorite course
Always enjoy this course. Conditions were a little less than optimum. Some greens weren’t in the best shape like they normally are. That being said, it’s still my go to course in Orlando for the money.

Greens still healing
1st green was primarily dirt. 2nd green was slightly better. I commented on this to a guy we were playing with -who lives nearby and plays the course regularly.
Turns out they had major irrigation issues a few months ago, then they over hand watered and promptly had a ton of rain. It any case, this course will need until April at the earliest to be reasonable as Florida is in the non-growing season now.
Greens were in pretty good shape. Challenging. Tee boxes were good. They had just been spike aerated. Some areas appeared to be under construction still. Fairways had mixed grasses, ie. crab grass,. Traps were pretty nice with soft sand.

Great course in good condition...greens undulate which makes for difficult putting on some depending on hole position. If you have not played here do try it and most probably will have a good time maybe not a good score as some holes require skill
Fun Round not ruined by the starter!
I always enjoy playing this course. The course has a lot of personality and I enjoy it. I have also been lucky to be paired with nice folks - which always make it more fun.
Unfortunately, my day started shakily when I arrived 20 minutes early and the starter told me that I was late and that he had given away my tee time. The pro shop verified that I was not late but the starters poor attitude did not improve. He should find another position at the course,
Nevertheless, I look forward to playing this course again sometime soon.
Almost great
The course looks good, the pro shop gentleman was nice, the pace of play was slow and painful. I saw a ranger but apparently this is normal. Other than the starter being a first rate jerk, it was a good( almost great) experience

The starter was a jerk when I was there yesterday. I think the course need to address this.
