Ventura Country Club
About
The golf course at the Ventura Country Club, situated east of Orlando near many major highways and the airport, is semi-private but the facility welcomes outside play. It is a short course that features undulating greens with sudden breaks. The golf course has challenging par-3 holes that put a premium on shot accuracy. There are strategically placed bunkers throughout as well as water hazards on 14 holes. Most of the well-manicured fairways are lined with homes. The par-5, 13th hole is Ventura Country Club's signature hole. It requires a shot from an elevated tee over water and past thick forestry on the left and an approach shot to small, well protected green that slopes back to front.

Golfer Reviews
We had a 12:30 tee time but we’re told we were playing in a shotgun start at 1:00. GolfNow was supposed to tell us but they did not. No carts available on arrival and shotgun did not get off until 1:30. Slow round and not much fun because of the pace. It’s an interesting course that’s not too long…very playable from all tee boxes.
Big greens!
First time playing after renovations. It’s always an enjoyable course to play and a bit different with the new greens. Greens are much larger and run very nicely. The biggest change is hole 18, much different layout. A few of the greens are designed close to water and you need to be careful on approach shots. I think the degree of difficulty is higher than old layout.
Enjoyable
Definitely worth the money. Friendly staff. Only 6000 yds from the tips. Par 70 with six par 3's. What I didn't like was pace of play and need .better signage for first time players to find some holes & back tees
Pleasurable play
Course we’ll maintained, plenty of water challenges but has great sand in bunkers. Greens are hard and fast.
Way over booked
we got there at 12:50 for a 1 pm tee time and 30 people were waiting to get on. They said they would shot gun start us at 1. At 1:15 NOT ONE cart was available because of a tournament . We left at 1:30 and got a rain check. Normally they have their act together. So for us this was highly unusual. I will be back because we like the course and the restaurant/bar is excellent.
Confusing layout
The course is a nice and challenging depending on the tees you play from. Only criticism is that there are a few holes where you simply struggle to find the next tee.
Great renovations
Played this course a few years ago and enjoyed it, and the renovations have made it more fun. The only downside is how hard the greens are, felt like concrete when you walked on them, but that will improve over time. Pace was a little slow, but it was a Sunday, so not as bad as I expected. Overall, this course is a must play.
Renovation Complete??
First time playing after the course was closed for many months due to renovation. I wonder if they are going to replace the dirt cart paths created around some of the holes with new pavement like was there originally. Seems like money was spent in areas that didn't require it to me.
The course was in good shape, but the pace of play was a bit slow. Need a ranger out there to help move things along.
Short but fun course
Was told they just finished construction on the greens making them bigger, very tight but fun holes. The driver should stay in the bag on this course.
Nice Day at Ventura
I had a very nice day at Ventura. The course is undergoing some renovations, but they do not impede the ability to play.
Great Track
Course in great shape, greens are quick and hold line.
