The Heritage Club was built on a plot of fertile land along the beautiful Waccamaw River Trail. Over 600 acres of giant magnolias, 300-year-old oaks, fresh water lakes and marshes have been transformed into a golfing community that rivals the finest in the world. The Heritage Club reflects a unique landscape carved by the whims of the river. A magnificent avenue of oaks leads to the welcoming clubhouse overlooking the Waccamaw River.

Ranked among the “50 Best Public Courses in America” by Golf Digest, the Par 71 Heritage Club, a Dan Maples design, follows the natural contours of the land, stretching out beside long abandoned rice fields. The Heritage Club course features spacious, rolling fairways and large, undulating greens, surrounded by lush stands of crepe myrtle, camellias and azaleas. Heavily landscaped areas of wildflowers and flowering shrubs will maintain the beauty of this beautiful setting for generations to come.

Unbelievable value

The course was absolutely beautiful, the staff unbelievably friendly and the price fantastic. We checked in and found out that our booking included breakfast, lunch and 2 drinks.. what a surprise!

The course was in great shape however due to all the rain/cold we had to keep the carts on the cart path only. That made it a bit tough but we still managed to play in just over 4 hours. Would definitely recommend!

Slow play

Had an afternoon Tee Time. Was let out on hole 10 as a threesome only to find that groups ahead were playing a scramble. 3 plus hours for 9 holes! Luckily was able to blast through the front side getting in before dark. Very frustrating on both accounts.

Great track

For the time of season, and just after a hurricane dumping lots of water in the area, this course is a gem. The greens rolled true and course was in fantastic shape. I will play this every time I come to the area. Probably top 3 courses in the Myrtle area to me. Cart staff was great and informative as well as funny. Great bar, restaurant area as well. 10 all the way around.

5 decades

The course was beautiful and better than any of the 5 decades I've played it from out of state Tennessee. I was very impressed with the hospitality and evident care for the course in it's environment. Thanks for a great day!

Beautiful and tough course.

My first time back at Heritage in 3 years or more. I come down for a week in the spring and fall. Our foursome had an early afternoon tee time. The course was in great condition with no obvious damage since the hurricane in September. Heritage is always very busy in October and no different this year. Groups went off #1 and #10 as usual. Pace of play was about <5 hours. The cart staff and food service staff were fast and professional. I will be back for a round next year.

Great track, slow greens

Really enjoyed this course. Fantastic layout with a fair test of easy and more challenging holes. My biggest gripe with this course is the greens roll incredibly slow. They are designed this way due to the undulating greens. The course wants to cater to the average golfer which I completely understand. Definitely will come back.

Great course

Amazing course located on the South Strand of Myrtle Beach. Has southern low-country scenery and charm. The attendants were very friendly, wait staff in the bar super helpful. Course was in excellent condition. Enough challenges to keep it interesting and enough simplicity to keep it from being frustrating. Price was a bit high but was willing to pay to ensure we got tee times. If you book directly through the course, you can get a better rate but can only book 5 days in advance. Our pre-book also came with lunch and 2 drinks.

Wonderful facility and layout, knowledgeable friendly staff, awful pace of play for an afternoon tee time. Got stuck on the back nine behind a foursome that was taking 20 plus minutes per hole. An effective ranger would have been welcomed.

Great Time!

Make sure you have your reservation printed out! GATED COMMUNITY! The gate woman gave me some attitude. The golf course said she shouldn't have.
