About
The Heritage Club was built on a plot of fertile land along the beautiful Waccamaw River Trail. Over 600 acres of giant magnolias, 300-year-old oaks, fresh water lakes and marshes have been transformed into a golfing community that rivals the finest in the world. The Heritage Club reflects a unique landscape carved by the whims of the river. A magnificent avenue of oaks leads to the welcoming clubhouse overlooking the Waccamaw River.
Ranked among the “50 Best Public Courses in America” by Golf Digest, the Par 71 Heritage Club, a Dan Maples design, follows the natural contours of the land, stretching out beside long abandoned rice fields. The Heritage Club course features spacious, rolling fairways and large, undulating greens, surrounded by lush stands of crepe myrtle, camellias and azaleas. Heavily landscaped areas of wildflowers and flowering shrubs will maintain the beauty of this beautiful setting for generations to come.

Hoots Play
A wonderful course with plenty of challenges in getting to the green. Greens are extremely undulated. Greens ran very smooth. This is a do not miss golf course on the Grand Strand.
Sent out as a single. Quit after 9 as pace of play was horrendous at 2:45 hours. It’s was a shame as it was a very nice course
Great track
A very nice course. Challenging but fair layout, great fairways, nice tee boxes and fast, steep sloping greens. In great shape and well worth the $90 cost of play.
Rainy day by still good
I liked the course. Good shape mostly. Poured rain off and on made it slow and slippery. Needs better signage for tee boxes and rangers to enforce pace of play.
The Heritage Club
The course was nice. Greens were fast but rolled very true. The course condition is very good with many holes in excellent condition. Some of tfe tee boxes were showing use.
Iverall, an excellent course. Unfortunately we were stuck behind a foursome who took 3:25 to play 9 hokes. After tgat nine the course was open and we finished the other 9 holes in under 90 minutes.
A must play!
Great course with water on 11 out of 18 holes and multi tiered greens that were smooth and quick. A must play!
Slow Play Ruins the day
Beautiful property and nice clubhouse staff but it took over 4 hours to play 12 holes. Would absolutely play Caledonia or True Blue in the future over Heritage.
8 years on, still a good course
Although played 8 years ago, decided to give another go. Perfectly playable course. Not as much wildlife as we saw before. Great value when you consider you get breakfast, lunch and 2 beers. Willbrook just shaded it for me.
Great experience
Everything really was 5 star! Booked through Golfnow and still had breakfast and lunch included! Course conditions were great! No complaints whatsoever!
Excellent, one of the best on the Strand
If you enjoy mature, manicured and thoughtfully laid out course than The Heritage Club is where you want to play.
Come early and spend some time in the lavishly we'll appointed club house, worth a look.
A bit out of the way when staying in North Myrtle Beach (1h drive) but all worth it.
Disappointing for the Money
We were expecting a much better conditioned course than we experienced for the green fees paid. The tees were in very poor condition and some of the greens, while generally in good shape, were virtually unputtable with the pin placements and severe rolls.
The Heritage is, in my opinion, a decent course but certainly not a premium track. I would not return unfortunately.
