Kelly Plantation Golf Club

I play this course once a year on our family vacation and it never disappoints. I consider myself a golf snob and Kelly's one of my favorite courses anywhere. Greens were still recovering from aeration and a little slow but true. Fairways and tee boxes had plenty of grass and were well manicured. It's pricey but worth it for a first class golf experience. The only grief I could put forward is that the clubhouse didn't have the shirts I wanted in my size.

For those coming to play this incredible course, know the following so you can take full advantage of the services offered by the staff. When you arrive, there is a bag drop stand up front right by the golf cart staging area. Pull up and the staff will unload your bags onto the cart being assigned to you and your group. The carts do not go into the parking lot. The outside staff will guide you to the pro shop and explain check in procedures, course conditions, point out the range, chipping green, and putting green for your use. Outside food or beverages are not allowed and absolutely no outside coolers are permitted as all carts are equipped with coolers for your use. There is a full service restaurant and bar along with beverage cart staff who are out on the course. The beverage cart staff only takes cash, no credit or debit cards can be used while out on the course. You will have the opportunity to order food from the GPS that is on the cart so you can grab it and go at the turn. This really is designed for the golfer to come and enjoy the day, stress free, and enjoy everything this great course has to offer. When your round is finished, the outside services staff will clean your clubs and take them up to the bag drop stand for you. It is highly recommended that you use the bag drop stand for drop off and pick up. Enjoy your day of golf and leave the work to the staff, they are there to provide it for you. TEE IT UP

Went to Destin for the first time and this course was gorgeous. The facilities are really nice, the staff was excellent, the course was in great shape and the course has a great layout. Will definitely return and play this course, probably wouldn’t go to another course unless I had a big group of hackers with me. Tough track, great conditions, customer for life for sure.

I was in the area on a beach vacation but brought my clubs for a round or two. Kelly Plantation was the highest rated course in the area. Two hundred dollars was steep but I figured I would see if the course was worth it. It was not. The conditions were good and there was plenty of water stations but the course was very plain. The greens were not cut and were a little slow. You would not expect that on a holiday when you should have good traffic at the course. I was initially turned off by the bag attendants who advised me I could not take my cart into the parking lot to get my clubs or other items but also didn’t offer to give us a ride out either. They also didn’t seem very friendly. Also, when I asked about getting ice for my cooler, they told me I needed to buy something to get ice! Also, we only saw the cart girl twice on the front nine and not once on the back. Prices were high in the clubhouse. I bought a sleeve of balls and they gouged me for $20. You expect to pay more for a resort course but I would not recommend this course unless they cut the price in half.

It is my favorite golf course along Hwy 98 in the Destin and Miramar Beach area….enjoy the practice facility, location, condition, challenging and range of suitability for level of play.

Course was healing from repairs but didn’t appear to be groomed and detailed as in the past

This course was awesome through and through. Layout is great, condition is great, and people were great! Highly recommend.

Played for the 2nd time this summer on another vacation. Course was Pristine as usual. From tee to green the course is fantastic. Great views, nice challenges from hole to hole but still fun for any skill level. 10/10 recommend!

Overall, the course was a great shape and the staff was very friendly.It is a challenging way out and fun to play.The greens roll very true.

If I had one complaint, it was that they charged me $35 for my wife to ride with me, which I thought was fairly high. They weren't fully booked and it did not cost them an extra cart as I was a single playing by myself so I thought that was pretty bad.

So if you're Going Out to play around with your friends, I highly recommend it if it's just you and your wife is going with you. I would look for somewhere else, but who knows? Maybe that's exactly what they want by charging such a high fee

Staff, super polite. Course was well manicured and greens were well taken care of. I love when people respect the course to fix divots. Club house was excellent and food service from cart was awesome at the turn. Will definitely be back.

I was part of a twosome we played it in 3 hours. The staff was very helpful and the practice facility and carts were well maintained. The greens rolled great. They had punched the greens the first week of August so they was still a lot of sand on the greens and the ball checked up quick on approach.

Kicked off the back 9, hit by another cart on the 5th, so didn’t get to finish round nor did anyone give me a rain check. But at least I made it. Staff is always nice.
