Kelly Plantation Golf Club

The course was nice with lots of grass and and the greens were smooth and consistent everyone at the course was friendly and the beverage cart was frequent. On the back 9 we got stuck behind a sixsome not a fivesome but a sixsome they all played from different tees. They never acknowledged we were behind them as a threesome. I called for a ranger but nobody ever came. Otherwise an enjoyable afternoon.

Course had us go off on #10 to allow “dual starting times” on both nines….

Pretty rigid / not laid back atmosphere.

A lovely course with great conditions and will improve further due to recent fertilizing. Greens were fast and true. Some very scenic holes by the water and the bridge. Each hole is unique.

Staff are most welcoming and willing to help in any way they can. Felt very at ease. We were a twosome with play in the 4 hours range. The group behind us was three holes back….glad we weren’t behind them.

1:45 tee time and couldn’t even finish holes 17 and 18 before dark. Very slow and not much grass. Tee boxes in shaky condition.

Course layout is nice, no gimmicky holes, in good condition for Florida winter time.

Some nice holes, but really played slow.

Don’t think I would want to pay full boat as the course conditions not the greatest.

This is the most expensive course in the area and honestly it’s over priced. I do enjoy the course but for what they charge it isn’t worth it unless you can get a special deal.

Awesome greens and fairways Tees were a little thin. Pace of play was awesome as we finished in 3.5 hrs.

From the moment of bag drop kelly plantation is fantastic. Respectful employees and beautiful clubhouse. The practice area is impeccable. This all leads to your experience on the course which is second to none in Florida. Tee boxes and fairways are great and the greens are some of the best I’ve ever played on. Will be back for sure. Highly recommend as the premier course in the entire panhandle

Slow play, slow greens, no circulating ranger. 2nd time I played there this week and slow pay then as well. Most expensive public course in Destin but unfortunately they do not monitor pace of play so it makes the round less enjoyable.

Course greening up nicely and should really pop in a couple of weeks after heavy fertilizer application that resulted in cart trails only on the front nine. Most of the greens were in very good condition; some were a little thin and soft in places. The fairways are so wide you have to feel a little foolish to lose a ball off the tee. My only negative is that the bunker sand is so fine it never gets raked cleanly and it's easy to land in footprints etc.

This is a solid and challenging course that keeps their greens mowed tight. They had a record number of players on the day we played so it was a five-hour round. We were even a fivesome - which we appreciate them us do - but still waited on the tees. That being said, I'd come back and I recommend it.

Outstanding layout. Course well maintained. While it was challenging, it was very playable, even for an average player.
