Formerly home to a turpentine plantation, the site now offers one of the most environmentally sensitive courses in northwest Florida, Kelly Plantation. The golf course sits along the shores of the Choctawhatchee Bay, sprawling across a waterfront landscape of towering trees and swampy bayous. The course features large, contoured greens and wide, manicured fairways that are in excellent condition but can also be tricky to navigate. The strategically placed hazards also require some careful maneuvering. In addition to being a challenging round, the golf course is also known for its stunning scenic appeal. Throughout the layout, golfers can enjoy panoramic views across the bay to the abundant magnolias and palmettos that are native to Florida's northwest region. For these reasons, Kelly Plantation has received high praise from publications such as Golf Digest and Golf Magazine.

Perfect Golf Experience

From the moment you enter Kelly Plantation the experience is second to none. We dropped our bags which were brought to the side clubhouse door on our cart. From there the employees couldn’t have been nicer. Our host gave a great breakdown of the course and advised of the different practice areas including grass range, chipping area and large putting green. This was a great start but the course is an absolute GEM. Greens rolled true and fast. Fairways and tee boxes were pristine. Fair but challenging with water in play on several holes. By far the best course in Destin/Pensacola/Panama City region. I’d say a top 5 public in the state with ease. Can’t wait to return

The experience was good. Course was excellent. Nice practice area and range.Staff was very nice. Really slow group in front of us that never were pushed to speed it up some or let some play through. No cart girl for entire round. Could have used more drinking water.
