Firecliff at Desert Willow Golf Resort

We showed up 20 minutes late because of a traffic jam. They set us up with a later time and helped us out. Super friendly staff!!

Rode the Purple tees (6676/72.1/136) in 4H twilight on a GN "Hot Deal". Played with Joe, Don and Craig, nice guys to play with. Hazy, breezy and around 105.

Tees mostly lush and level with few divots.

Fairways lush and good to play from.

Rough very lush. The ball sat up, not overly penal except it cost you roll and usually good to chip out of.

Greenside traps had good quality sand and were decently maintained. Just too thin. Waste bunkers were firm and not as well maintained as the greenside traps.

Large greens very disappointing. Late summer bumpy Bermuda, they putted medium speed and were firm. You had to play for rollout.

Customer Service always excellent here from when you drop your clubs off out front to when you pick them up after the round. No Drink Cart today. Ice/water stations every few holes. Nice GPS on upgraded carts that have ports for electronics. The all grass driving range is included and is excellent with a nice practice chipping area. Excellent and very fun layout to play. Recommended, IMO the best public course in the Palm Springs area. Just not in as good of shape as it usually is.

I was shocked to find out this is a municipal course. The course was in great shape considering the weather. There were high winds last night and the grounds keepers were hard at work restoring the course. Overall I had a great time ! I would certainly play again.

We were paired up with a husband and wife who sprayed the ball a bit. After 5 holes we both received a message on our cart that we were behind pace of play. On tee box number 6 a staff member brought us wet towels because of the heat. The real reason was to tell us to speed up because we were behind pace. From that point on the couple we were paired up with started to play best ball. The group behind us was a threesome, so they were going to catch us. I know all about pace of play, but it was unfair to send a staff member to tell us to speed up. Won’t be back.

Another great day at Desert Willow, course was in great shape, , its a must play course when I come out to the desert. love this place, staff are great also....

Had a great day playing Fire course…greens rolled true but a tad slower than they looked. Fairways and rough were butter. Great course I’ll be back again for sure.

Good experience for my wife and me today. Would like to see more drinking water on the course. Staff was wonderful. Course (Firecliff) was in great shape.
