Westchase Golf Club
About
Designed by Lloyd Clifton, Westchase winds through acres of lakes, conservation areas and forest. It offers manicured greens surrounded by natural wetlands, wooden bridges and bulkheads. With its 9,500 sq. ft. clubhouse, full-service dining room, and fully stocked pro shop, Westchase offers a country club atmosphere along with first-class service. The golf club has established itself as one of Tampa Bay's best upscale golf facilities. The front nine meander through an impressive pine forest. The back nine -- which is demanding on the tee shot -- features lakes, wetlands and cypress. Strategically placed bunkers, more sparkling lakes and stands of cypress, oak, palmetto and pine frame the fairways and greens. Signature Hole No. 3, at 212 yards from the back tee, is all you can handle -- It's a Par 3 all-carry over water from the back tee!

Friendliest staff in America
We showed up late for our tee times and they got us on the course right away and were very very friendly. Was blown away by the hospitality!
Well maintained and difficult course with a great chicken Caesar wrap
Really nicely maintained, nice clubhouse with some good food, and a tough course.
Hard chopped up greens
Was looking forward to play this course until I got on the 1st green They are bricks couldn't even get a ball repair tool in the green extremely chewed up Impossible to hold a sandwedge from 80 yd. The course is not worth the $.
Fun round but tough for it's slope rating
We enjoyed the course, but pace was slow. Greens were rolling nicely, and condition were good. Range with floating golf balls is a novelty but balls feel weird. Definitely worth a try
3.5 hours for 12 holes
Absolutely insane pace of play and when we tried calling the pro shop from the course, no answer. No Marshalls on the course and when the pro shop was told (after we left the course) that we had only been able to play 12 holes in 3.5 hours, “well, it’s busy today”. Well, I paid for a full 18 holes and wasn’t able to get that in. Give me a refund.
Challenging
One of the better courses in this area. Nice tee boxes and fairways. Greens in good shape, running a bit fast for my game.
So very difficult holes as fairways are narrow on most holes. Water on most holes.
Back nine takes you away from the homes and into a beautiful natural forest.
Would like to play there again to get a better feel for the course.
Nice course with great staff
I live about 1 mile from the course. I have played many times and attended numerous golf training events. So, maybe I am bias. I love the layout of the course and that it runs through natural habitat. The course is challenging, but fair. The pro shop staff, the golf pros, the people who run the bar and restaurant area, are just great people. I will go back again and again
Nice course in food condition
Course was in good condition. Staff was friendly. Place of play very good as they send out people only every 10 minutes.
Recommend this course.
Tested Jewel
There's golf courses all over the city that are in good shape or a real test. But there are very few that are both. As advertised—shot makers course, in great condition every time, with unique greens that you have to prepare for. You succeed or fail with your ability to play good shots. I love coming here. The staff is friendly and the burgers are tasty!
review
Beautiful course, but a bit long and challenging for this high handicapper. .....lots of water, and sand hazards and areas that need a high long accurate second ( or third ) shot into most greens.......The greens are fast and not too undulating ....nice wide ( on most holes ) fairways with high grass off the fairways if you spray your shots..........
