About
Designed by Lloyd Clifton, Westchase winds through acres of lakes, conservation areas and forest. It offers manicured greens surrounded by natural wetlands, wooden bridges and bulkheads. With its 9,500 sq. ft. clubhouse, full-service dining room, and fully stocked pro shop, Westchase offers a country club atmosphere along with first-class service. The golf club has established itself as one of Tampa Bay's best upscale golf facilities. The front nine meander through an impressive pine forest. The back nine -- which is demanding on the tee shot -- features lakes, wetlands and cypress. Strategically placed bunkers, more sparkling lakes and stands of cypress, oak, palmetto and pine frame the fairways and greens. Signature Hole No. 3, at 212 yards from the back tee, is all you can handle -- It's a Par 3 all-carry over water from the back tee!

Good conditions
The course is in great condition, unfortunately it seems they don’t have a Marshall, we had to quit , we got stuck behind a 4 some that each hit at least 4 balls, on every shot.
We were a 2 some and they dint even ask to let us play through, on every tee box, there was us and 3 other groups waiting.
No one show up to speed them up.. shame because the greens and the course is in great shape.
We won’t be going back for a while is not cheap and not being able to enjoy because of slow play is nothing worth the almost 200 bucks that cost to play it.
In great shape
The course is back in great shape, nice and challenging if you dare to play the back tee’s.
We had a good time.
Great layout
Greens and Fairways are in great shape. I like the course layout. If I ever on Tampa again, I will make sure I there.
Areas Best
We’ve been in the area for 4 years. Have made the rounds thru Palm Harbor, Dunedin, Tarpon, Clearwater. First time at Westchase. Great staff. Played a quick 9 in an hour and 45. Nice layout. In great shape. Going back for a full 18.
Pace of Play a bit Slow
We were behind a group of 3 guys that were super slow. Also the tee boxes had missing markers. Coolest driving range that I've seen in Tampa Bay! Price was a bit high for Tampa Bay. Greens were pretty. 16th hole had a sprinkler on so didn't get to play that one. Tree placement was perfectly done so you don't worry about hitting the houses by mistake. Great signage to warn you away from alligators, high voltage, and snakes.
Excellent pace of play
Was worried when arrived,large outing on the course and still going oit,did not wait to hit a single shot.Tee boxes could be nicer,otherwise all good about the e perience
Westchase
Good course with challenging layout with water and bunkers. Course was a good shape and tee choices were player friendly.
Nice course!
Victor in the pro shop was very nice and helpful - A+ for friendliness. Got our reservation straightened out and on our way in time for a warmup and some putts before hitting the first tee.
Course is challenging and and tight in spots with lots of forced layups - lots of position golf - it was good but sometimes left me wanting more space to try to get to a par 5 in two. Greens are fast, firm and true. Fairways and tee boxes in fair to good shape.
Overall worth the drive from St Pete’s Beach.
