Westchase Golf Club

We played Westchase with visiting golfers from Chicago and were very pleased with the course design, fairways and even bunkers. However, we were disappointed with the greens that were a little bumpy and not up to the quality of the rest of the beautiful course.

Westchase experience - Had a great time going on as a single golfer matching up with some really good people. Dave in the pro shop was excellent and very professional/friendly. Course layout and the challenge of the course was a lot of fun. Definitely a repeat course and a recommendation to other golfers and friends. Keep up the good work with WestChase.

Started off with a very friendly greeting. Nice practice range (water range).

The course was a bit challenging for our 4-some. I personally lost a ton of balls. Some tight fairways and areas where the water snuck up on me.

That’s not the courses fault, it was my 1st time here.

Pace of play was good, although we were pushed by another group. We let them play through.

Turf was a bit thin. I don’t hit well off dirt.

Sand traps were hard and some seemed wet.?.?

And there are plenty of traps.

Greens were thin, hard packed and super fast.

They were fair and no crazy undulation. Just fast and little turf.

4 1/2+ hr round, not bad for a Wednesday afternoon.

All-in-all, I will go back. I will most definitely practice a few times before attaching this challenging course next round. Personal NOT my best round, at all.

Last, after the round, 6:00 pm the clubhouse and bathrooms were locked up. Ugh!!

just a real nice challenging golf course that us seniors enjoying playing . course in great shape.

Great course, good selection of tees. Most of the course is very tight. Narrow fairways on the whole, water in play on several holes and a few doglegs. If you don't hit it straight, be prepared for a few doubles and more. I would question the slope ratings here!! Despite this, a great track and well worth a visit.

Played course last year and it was in great shape, however we notice this year was not in the same shape. Poa annual was everywhere around greens. Greens were firm, ,difficult to hold mid-irons into green. The course just wasn't maintained at previous levels , and it's a shame.

Other than a few bare spots on a few of the greens course was in very good shape. I just wish they had a marshal riding around to speed up slow golfers. Would definitely recommend this course

Course staff was really kind and accommodating. Very good. And fairways all around 18 holes are like carpeted. Excellent

I’m not sure how this gets such high ratings, the greens are in horrible conditions with more divot pot marks thank cam be expected making accurate putting possible. The Tee boxes were actually pretty good, fairways were ok but marshy in places. The sand bunkers were like concrete. Golf carts don’t even have range finders or anything. I understand all the snowbirds are down here and every courses rates are super inflated but the price is not worth the admission and would rather play Heritage Isles, cheval or drive to Orlando before playing here again.

Staff was super friendly. Pace was good if you tee off in the first few groups of golfers, carts were clean, clubhouse was nice but not staff when hitting the turn. The food and drink cart was available around 9 and super friendly, putting green is nice also.

All of this earned a 3 star rating but as a course and price only rating would be a 1.

First time around Westchase and really enjoyed it. A bit of everything there. Beautiful cart path with wood bridges through many wet areas. Greens were quick t- box's we're in great shape. Played on a Monday afternoon and pase of play was fine. A bit odd the bar was closed when we made our turn at 4pm.
