Camelback Golf Club - Ambiente Course

Great condition, well bunkered, staying in the fairway is a must. Greens large and undulating, smooth and fast, but would hold a good approach shot.

I would definitely play again. Staff very friendly with great driving range facilities. Course was well maintained and greens rolled very true.

Nice links course with a variety of tee boxes to suit all levels. Course was in great condition and greens were firm and fast but will hold a full iron shot. Definitely worth the deal on golfnow.

I have played at several courses in the Scottsdale and Phoenix area and this is one of the better ones. It is a golfers golf course with strategic bunkers placed throughout. The course has a links feel which is a nice change of pace for the area. Wonderful course conditions with a great staff. Enjoy!

This redo of the Indian Bend course is definitely a step up. But its winter rate and spring rate is crazy. I get it. In Scottsdale you can get that. But this course should find some way to give Phoenix residents a break. Word of mouth matters.

Camelback lived up to all expectations. recommended by staff at another course. played the ambiante course for $69. first off the staff is very helpful and friendly. awesome clubhouse and range. best course i have ever played for under $100. very open but challenging. cant say enough about the conditions, perfect tee boxes and greens. will definitely be back!

It's worth playing if you can't get on TPC Scottsdale.

This is a great layout. Links style golf in the desert. Played a bit shorter because the course is still new (greens and fairways were firm), but still in great shape considering. Challenges all aspects of game! Nice course. Would like the rates to be a little lower. Pricey if you play at full price.

This course is superb in every way. It is undoubtedly the best new course in the valley and among the best in the country. Back tees are too much for most, but there are tees for all abilities. There's risk/reward at every turn, and the greens are already world class. Add to this the views, the availability of its sister Padre Course, the friendliness of the staff, the excellence of the practice facilities, and the ambience of the clubhouse, and this course will become a destination course and a jewel in the Marriott crown.

Excellent course, staff is super friendly, very attentive.

Course can play difficult from rear tees, and plays super fun from the forward tees.

The renovation of Camelback's Ambiente Golf Course
is quite striking and positive . It now plays much like an inland Links course.
Overall , practice facility, Golf Course, Staff, Food+Drink were all 1st rate!

The money they put into this course was well worth it, this is one beautiful course- the greens were fast and rolled very nice-staff was very nice and I will be back.

Played this course for the first time with my dad and the conditions were perfect. It reminds you of golf in the southeast with some areas resembling a marsh area. The holes get repetitive after a while but that is overshadowed by true greens, plush fairways, and well maintained bunkers. I don't think it's worth $220 but for around $125 I would go for it.

I cannot say enough great things about this course. It was in amazing condition from tee box to green. We played in 3 hours. The carts had top of the line GPS. They had a 3 for 1 drink special that made the drinks only overpriced and not extremely overpriced like most Scottsdale courses. And the course was tough but can be enjoyed by all levels of golfers. Play this course you will not regret it.

Lots of challenges and sand traps! Great scenery & encourages you to come back to try again!

Great conditions from tee to green- however it is inexcusable to have a 4:55 minute round on a Wednesday morning. We were offered a free drink on the 7th hole- never saw the Marshall again until the 17th hole- used the GPS to call for him on the 11th....
For the cost of the green fees - they should have better control- we were in formed they had 240 players out Wednesday- avg $125 ( or more) a $30,000 day - maybe a complimentary round of golf would have been appropriate.
If your looking to play, wait for the next price drop and plan your day accordingly

Enjoyed playing Camelback Ambiente. Even as a threesome, it played fairly speedy.

Do not play this course if you want to play in under 5 hours. There was one and half holes open in front of the foursome we were playing behind and the ranger said they were on time and would not move hem along. This is the first course I have ever walked off on 17. The course was in great shape but don't pay that kind of money for muny pace of play. We left Ohio where it was -2 only to be frustrated by waiting on every hole. No fun, but looking for other courses that maintain play.

The course is nicely improved from the old version and was in great shape but I prefer the old finishing hole. I wouldn't pay $175...there are better options at that price point.

Great driving range, chipping green, short game and bunker area, putting greens.

Fastest electric golf carts EVER!!!! Excellent GPS that gives yardage to the "PIN" that day, not just front, middle, back. Detailed yardages to landmarks. Probably the best GPS I have used. Free bottled water in the carts, and also free bottled water about every 4 holes. White towels in carts for cleaning.

Only problem is no ballwashers or club cleaners on carts...or anywhere on the course. The only criticism of this course.

Played fromt ip 7200 yds. Great tee boxes, fairways, and medium size but undulating difficult greens. Medium fast speed and smooth. Bunikers well sanded.

Very fair course, no gimmicky holes. You can see where you need to hit. Tough course though.

Try it and you will love the course and service!
