About
World Golf Village is home to 36 challenging holes of championship golf. The Slammer & Squire Course is named after the two World Golf Hall of Fame legends, Sam Snead and Gene Sarazen, who served as consultants to the course's designer, Bobby Weed. The golf course is known for its tricky par-3 holes and the carefully preserved beauty of the landscape. Its traditional layout meanders through native flatwoods and hardwood hammocks, running alongside wetland preserves and a wildlife habitat. The scenic Slammer & Squire Course features contoured greens and gently rolling, generous fairways. There is also an abundance of water on the golf course in the forms of lakes and marshes.

This course has a very straightforward layout
The layout was very straight forward; by that I mean not tricked up. Only one or two doglegs on the course and fairly large greens. The fairways were also pretty forgiving with large bunkers. There was water on the course, but it did not really come into play. Just a nice, fun round of golf. You know Pete Dye was not in the area!
Excellent Hot Deal!!!
Finally playing the course for the 1st time since moving to the area a year ago. With so many great and cheap courses in the area I was reluctant to pay $89 for this place until Yesterday with a $37+ tax deal don't get me wrong Have fun there course was in good shape, Staff was the best part very friendly and helpful, green were rolling true and fairways in good conditions Also. Not a $89+ kind of course, but there's a Resort and Golf Hall Of Fame also its pure Branding!! No more than $60 for this course, one close by Way Better and Cheaper
Great course
Always love the course, but this year the greens seem to be having trouble recovering from being punched,, Others in the area have come back great with all the rain and sun

Beautiful course with great staff and good pace of play. The only negative is no GPS on carts but other than that, great course

Very nice resort course
We like the course. It is challenging but fair. We paid under 100 Dollar ans ist was worth the money. The staff is amazing and we had a good time and a great day.
Beautiful Course
Went and played 18 holes right after The Players Championship. We got on for $60, this course was worth it. great condition, nice layout, and we didnt have anyone in sight. the course was all to our self.
Course is Over Priced
No complaints about course condition or staff. The course was in good condition, but we played other courses nearby that were better. St Johns Country Club was the best course we played, and we payed less than half what we payed at WGV. I guess we payed for the name but will not do it again.
Well Designed
Played before, but I met up with 3 guys who were fun to play with. Tough course if you get off of the fairways. Greens fast and true
Our Round
We purchased a GolfNow Hot Deal. Staff was excellent and extremely friendly. Me and my wife were paired with a father and son. We had a great time and would absolutely recommend this course.
Enjoyed Vacation Golfing
Course is in very good shape. Fairways outstanding, greens need a little time to heal.
Course was very wet
Great course but would not recommend after a shower Cart path only is no fun when your not use to the course. Overall had a great time and would come back when it hadn't rained for a few days.
Price
it is a nice course bet to expensive for my level of play. Golf now discount helped ease some of the pain
Disappointing Greens
The greens were very disappointing. To spend a $100 or more for 18 holes, the greens need to be in much better shape for early April in N. FLA!
Course is in great shape
Each hole offered a different look. The fairways are wide open as this is a Resort Course. The greens are difficult - multiple levels on each green, and the back of several greens slope away, so multiple shots at the pins rolled off the green. Greens are on 4 to 6 feet pedestals, so chips are critical. Overall , I had a great time. Fairways the greens are in very good condition.
Great layout, great staff, average condition
The Slammer and Squire course at The World Golf Village is a true resort course. They know how to keep you moving and get you through with a respectable four hour round on a pretty busy day. The staff is fantastic all the way around. The course itself is a fun resort style course with some great par threes. The greens were not in great shape with one of them even having repaired tire tracks on it but the fairways were solid. I can not complain about anything about this course and I would recommend it to friends. As a matter of fact since I am the trip planner for my group's buddy trips I will be adding this course to a Florida East Coast trip.

One of the best courses I have ever played. The course is always in perfect condition. One of the best golf experiences you can have.
Peaceful conditions
We always enjoy playing here. It is peaceful and a challenge on the greens, when peace and quiet is a must to get that bird or humbly settle for a par!
