About
Stallion Mountain Golf Club is conveniently situated just minutes from the Strip, but this Las Vegas golf course feels much further away thanks to a scenic landscape of towering, mature pines and six sparkling lakes. Over the years the course has hosted several major events including Frank Sinatra's Celebrity Classic and Las Vegas Invitational. It has a versatile layout that offers plenty of variety and shot values, which makes it appealing for a range of different skill levels. The par 4s and par 5s require long, accurate drives but the approach shots will test your iron game. The golf course also features undulating fairways lined with bunkers and water hazards come into play on 10 holes. In addition to the golf course, Stallion Mountain boasts a comprehensive practice facility that includes a 16-acre driving range with 40 tees, five practice putting greens, two chipping greens, and two practice bunkers.

They are finally working on the bunkers, which haven't had any TLC for quite a long time.

Bad bunkers
Bunkers were terrible not sure why but they were all grown over and had no sand at all took away from the course playability and looks

Course under repair!
They are working on the course. I get that part but the bathroom was locked inconveniently and lots of wet spots in the fairways.

Golf course condition was bad
The golf course was in bad condition. The sand traps are so bad, like concrete hard and covered with weeds. Seems like maintenance was nonexistent

Love the course but disappointed …
I love this course and the friendly staff but the condition of the course has deteriorated significantly in the last year or so. ALL bunkers are unplayable with tall weeds and grass growing out of most. The fairway rough is in such bad shape (way overgrown) that even when you know exactly where your ball ended up, it’s nearly impossible to find it.
We were told that they plan on spending a considerable sum over the next few months to rehab the course and I hope they do!

How the mighty have fallen
Years ago, was a great course. Maintenance has gone by the wayside now. Weeds everywhere, bunkers are all unplayable and NO WATER on course. Pace of play is great since no one plays here anymore!

I’ve played almost every course in the Las Vegas area and this one by far is the worsted!!!!
Terrible greens and the slowest in the area
Weeds everywhere and all of the bunkers are ground under repair
No grass in the fairway
No drinking water on the course
No cart girl
Rude outside staff
Only good thing is no one is out here but that’s because of all of the above.
Golf course is in bad shape
Stallion Mountain used to have good maintenance. When we played, the bunkers are as hard as rock and covered with grass. The whole golf course is in bad shape.

Not a long course.You just have to be on the short grass then perhaps it’s a bogey type of a day.

Good course but beware
Good course for the price but there is no drinking water available. I understand many courses removed self serve water due to Covid, but at this time there are practical and safe solutions. I have been to “less popular “ courses and am at least offered a few free water bottles in the ice cooler. The beverage cart only passed by twice the whole round in 100 degree heat.

Affordable round
The greens were in great shape a little slow but rolled true. The rough was rough and most of the fairways are in decent condition. The bunkers are closed so free drop. For the price you can’t beat your t for a morning weekend.

Bunkers are in bad conditions… no sand
Some fairways have some bald spots
Roughs need to be mowed, we don’t want to play in like a US Open conditions

Ouch, No water on the back nine....
Course was just ok. Would of been better if the price was right. But all bunkers are under repair. My big gripe is they didn't give us any water and there was no water available on the back nine. Temps were over 100 degrees. And they expect you to buy water from the cart girl. This to me is Unacceptable!

Couldn’t get off the course fast enough
Played here 10 years ago and recall it being quite a fun track……. BOY HAVE THE TIMES CHANGED! Fairways, greens, bunkers, everything……..just terrible. It’s so sad to see something that was so pristine in its hay day, to such awful shape now. Course could really make a great come back with a heavy injection of cash but as we all know, that’s not easy to come by. Maybe I’ll try my luck here in another 10 years.
