Stallion Mountain Golf Club

First time at Stallion Mountain. The pace of play and the price paid were excellent. It's a fine, fun layout. Nice clubhouse.

The course was in OK condition, except for the greens. The greens need some work.

I'd play here again as a local.

Great staff and overall experience, they’ve been doing maintenance to the greens and they are starting to improve! Great layout, I’ll be back!

We were told when we arrived that on GOLF Now, it stated greens were under repair. That was an understatement. Until the greens are fixed, be aware!

Not sure what can be done to save the current greens but at one point we just stopped putting..

Greens were horrific. Bumpy, sandy, awful. I rented clubs, which were a nice set of Callaways. Unfortunately, the driver head was not screwed on tight, making it useless for the majority of the round. When I informed the pro shop after the round, they told me they could not do anything (I had asked for a soda and bag of chips for the inconvenience). There was a five-some that did let us play through. The greens make this a definite no-go.

The greens are horrible, putting thru craters sometimes half an inch deep. We should have been told the greens were not worth playing,

This course needs a major overhaul. The greens have little grass on them. The fairways are not better. If it were kept well, it’s a good layout. Oh, and expect a 5+ hour round.

The greens were really in bad shape. We learned from another golfer that they scrapped them, warning should have been made, discounts offered for conditions.

Booked a tee time on Golf Now and got a hot deal of $65 dollars.

Arrived and staff were great in the clubhouse, had breakfast and the starter was informative and friendly.

We were paired up with two Americans without knowing but they were great company and helped guide us around.

The course was a lovely layout but the greens looked liked they had caught a disease but held the ball well but putting was sometimes difficult. This is no way a criticism as I would recommend this course for value for money and layout. A great find and if I went back would play this course.

This course has me confused. Great clubhouse/proshop. Great staff. What I think was an amazing layout. But some of the worst conditions I’ve ever played on. Fairways I think can come back with some water and TLC. Greens though I think are gone. This course has soooooo much potential so I don’t want to write it off. Go play it if you find a good rate and just have automatic 2 putts. Maybe some income and time will turn this place around. I’ll give it another shot in the future.

Great Layout, staff nice and helpful - Greens continue to improve during this maintenance period.

The facilities and employees are very good. The course needs some work, lots of bare spots and the greens are in fough shape.

Fairways and tee boxes were as expected. However, the greens were awful and putting was near impossible on some. Anywhere from dead grass to bare patches and a lot of movement caused by uneven ground. The price did not justify the course. I paid the extra $15 dollars and played Paiute which was awesome

Played 551 am tee off finished at 8:20 excellent pace. Fairways are ok Greens are terrible \.

All greens are in terrible condition. Some type of fungus has wiped them out. Not a true roll on the course.

Pictures looked really nice. They had good reviews so I booked it. The course is a nice layout. Plenty of character and challenging holes. Unfortunately, it appears they pay their photographer more than the greens keeper. The course was beat up. The greens were the worst I have ever played on and this includes sand greens I’ve previously played. We implemented a 2 putt max. Every single green had some sort of decay over half of the green. Your ball jumped and hopped every time you attempted to putt. If the greens were even moderately good, the course would be good, but unfortunately it completely ruined our round. Will never come back because of it.
