Stallion Mountain Golf Club is conveniently situated just minutes from the Strip, but this Las Vegas golf course feels much further away thanks to a scenic landscape of towering, mature pines and six sparkling lakes. Over the years the course has hosted several major events including Frank Sinatra's Celebrity Classic and Las Vegas Invitational. It has a versatile layout that offers plenty of variety and shot values, which makes it appealing for a range of different skill levels. The par 4s and par 5s require long, accurate drives but the approach shots will test your iron game. The golf course also features undulating fairways lined with bunkers and water hazards come into play on 10 holes. In addition to the golf course, Stallion Mountain boasts a comprehensive practice facility that includes a 16-acre driving range with 40 tees, five practice putting greens, two chipping greens, and two practice bunkers.

Terrible

Terrible condition. Worst greens I’ve ever played on and played with someone who has played here multiple times and they are always that way. Charging $120 or even $65 for resident rate is a crime. Never go back.

Big disappointment

Fairways were very dry and very little grass. The greens were just as bad as the fairways very uneven, very little grass, also diseased.

First & last time playing here!

No grass

Sadly something has happened to this course. The greens are more dirt than grass. The fairways are threadbare. They need to close the course, take 6 months and bring it back

My Stallion Day

My only complaint about the course was the condition of the greens. They were terrible and challenging to complete putts.

The Greens Were Atrocious, Everything Else Was Great!

The Greens right now at Stallion Mountain along with several green side bunkers could only be described as a spray-painted bedrock covered in dirt. It's understandable that it is the most costly part of a course to maintain, but it left much to be desired. Until the greens are fixed, it is unlikely many players would return.

Now that that's out of the way, the staff was very friendly and accommodating even with the number of people out on the course. It has a well-stocked clubhouse with the amenities needed to help you prepare for your best round. It is a course that plays on the longer side with a layout that boasts strategically-placed bunkers and water hazards that demand nothing less than a fully committed shot going into most greens.

Wouldn't return unless they fix the greens, but everything else was a terrific experience!

Gelding Mountain

This Stallion is a Gelding

Let’s talk about Adam the pro shop staff. ZERO customer service. Very short and terse in demeanor. Seemed we were a bother to show up well in advance of our tee time. I said hi he said “who are you” He just did not make us feel appreciated.

Tyler and Rus the staff out at the dirici g range and starter were very friendly. Kept us informed of tee time and who we were paired with. A stark contrast to the pro shop.

We went off behind a group playing a weekly game. FIVE HOURS is unacceptable. That coupled with the drunk group behind us who kept hitting up on us and crowding the tee boxes with their music blaring and foul language telling us to play faster when there was visibly a group on the green. The Marshall was no where to be seen. Unsatisfactory.

Course condition was ok tee to green. Greens were horrific. Bare spots and mottled appearance. They did not discount the green fees. For GolfNow doesn’t know how crappy it is but 115 each for this was HIGHWAY ROBBERY. Not just the casinos that rip you off.

Cart girl was visible and friendly. The girl at the bar was also friendly.

I will not be back.

Brutal

Everything about this course and club is terrible. Hair in the food, 5.5hr round. Greens are a fuzzy, patchy, nasty joke.

Only good thing was the nice lady bartender.

Poor course conditions

The greens are horrible! If they only charged $50 bucks I’d think that was a fair price for what we had to play on. The cart person was no where to be found. Bartender said she starts on the 18? Why is that. You’re done golfing by then. We finally saw her on 11, but made the turn so no point. Again greens are horrible.

Most expensive to end up being worst

Course in terrible shape. Fungus on every green. Need range finder to find grass on fairways. Over 100.00 and it was not a pleasure at all.

Not worth the money

This course could be so much more, but it is in terrible disrepair. The greens are torn up and paint it over. Your ball is more likely to look like you’re playing a game of plinco than roll smoothly. The fairways are mostly dirt, and good luck if your ball goes in a bunker. At most, they should charge 20 bucks.

Pathetic shape

The course has a nice layout but is in pathetic shape. Service is ok. I arrived 35 minutes before and was asked to get on the tee box right away.

The fairways and greens are in horrible share.

The pictures are not what the current condition is of the course.9

I would never recommend to drive and play there.

Don’t waste your money!!

This course was the worst one I’ve played in a long time. Fairways were rock hard with very little grass. The greens were terrible, bumpy with patches and sprayed green. We decided to take an automatic two putt because there was no way to putt well.

Give It A Go!

This course has been getting some poor reviews, some fair, some unfair.

There are some condition issues with patchy lumpy greens and next to bare sections of fairways. It’s said they are recovering from prior irrigation failures and if true it shows.

It’s a fun layout, great staff, and represents a very solid value proposition in the Las Vegas area. Go play, have fun, make your own decisions. I will be back.

Avoid at all costs

Stallion Mountain has taken a nose dive and crashed. The absolute worst conditions you could imagine, a real disaster. Greens comparable to a shag rug, quilt patchwork with huge areas of bare ground and ruts bigger than the Grand Canyon, fairways and tees virtually no grass, playing on the moon would be better, obviously no maintenance, they must be saving water for the tourists to take casino showers and splash in the swimming pools! A perfect dust bowl, giddy up cowboys and cowgirls and ride elsewhere.

I've played golf for 57 years now in 16 states and 3 other countries. This is the worst course I have ever played bar none. Not worth $15 and we played $120. What a joke. Played April 5th 2025. Will not be back under any circumstances. Do not waste your money

So much potential

The course layout is good, staff was friendly, but the condition of the greens Are almost unplayable. lots of areas you have to move your ball to even put at the pin and it looks like they tried to patch the dead spots with some form of Astroturf. The overall condition of the course can be overlooked, but the greens need a lot of help.
