Stallion Mountain Golf Club is conveniently situated just minutes from the Strip, but this Las Vegas golf course feels much further away thanks to a scenic landscape of towering, mature pines and six sparkling lakes. Over the years the course has hosted several major events including Frank Sinatra's Celebrity Classic and Las Vegas Invitational. It has a versatile layout that offers plenty of variety and shot values, which makes it appealing for a range of different skill levels. The par 4s and par 5s require long, accurate drives but the approach shots will test your iron game. The golf course also features undulating fairways lined with bunkers and water hazards come into play on 10 holes. In addition to the golf course, Stallion Mountain boasts a comprehensive practice facility that includes a 16-acre driving range with 40 tees, five practice putting greens, two chipping greens, and two practice bunkers.

Worst course ever for that amount of green fee.

Fairway was bad and hard.

Green had a lot of damages from hole 1 to 18.

They must close the course and renovate and reopen

Never play at this course.

Needs lots more work

Tee boxes ok. Fairways ok. Front nine greens almost ok.

Back nine greens terrible. Temporary greens would be better.

Poor Conditions

Greens in very poor conditions. Fairways dry and patchy. Tee boxes often just sand. Only thing worthwhile was the breakfast.

Terrible

I wouldn’t play this course again if it was free.

The worst maintained course I’ve ever played in Vegas. Totally took advantage of our group with the $100+ green fee. There are no greens, don’t believe the earlier post that said they are improving. That can’t be an accurate statement when there is no grass on them to grow. That goes for the fairways as well. 50/50 at best grass to dirt ratio.

Biggest disappointment of a round I’ve ever booked on GolfNow.

Dry, greens are unplayable

Good to see management space out tee times more to address pace of play issues. The course is empty if you go out in the afternoon.

Tee boxes were in good condition, but that's about it. Greens were the among the worst I've played. Huge chunks of dirt in spots, tons of sand in other spots.

Fairways/rough were far too dry. Just hitting off dirt most of the time.

Layout is good, there's some pretty mountain views and water hazards, could be a good course if it was being maintained.

DO NOT PLAY!!!

I do not take delight in writing this review. The course is in horrible condition. The fairways are bare and hard, the sand traps have no sand and the greens have large craters of bald spots that need to be filled and leveled off. The course layout is wonderful for all levels of golfers, vut the course conditions are horrible. Save your money and avoid the aggravation, they should be allowing free play or paying you to play this course.

Stallion Mountain golf course.

Course was hilly, long, and fairly well manicured. However, the greens need some attention, generally suffering from what appears to be a lack of consistent watering. The course is in a picturesque setting along a local mountain range in Nevada. Overall, the golf was worth the price of admission.

Terrible

Terrible condition. Worst greens I’ve ever played on and played with someone who has played here multiple times and they are always that way. Charging $120 or even $65 for resident rate is a crime. Never go back.

Big disappointment

Fairways were very dry and very little grass. The greens were just as bad as the fairways very uneven, very little grass, also diseased.

First & last time playing here!

No grass

Sadly something has happened to this course. The greens are more dirt than grass. The fairways are threadbare. They need to close the course, take 6 months and bring it back

My Stallion Day

My only complaint about the course was the condition of the greens. They were terrible and challenging to complete putts.

The Greens Were Atrocious, Everything Else Was Great!

The Greens right now at Stallion Mountain along with several green side bunkers could only be described as a spray-painted bedrock covered in dirt. It's understandable that it is the most costly part of a course to maintain, but it left much to be desired. Until the greens are fixed, it is unlikely many players would return.

Now that that's out of the way, the staff was very friendly and accommodating even with the number of people out on the course. It has a well-stocked clubhouse with the amenities needed to help you prepare for your best round. It is a course that plays on the longer side with a layout that boasts strategically-placed bunkers and water hazards that demand nothing less than a fully committed shot going into most greens.

Wouldn't return unless they fix the greens, but everything else was a terrific experience!

Gelding Mountain

This Stallion is a Gelding

Let’s talk about Adam the pro shop staff. ZERO customer service. Very short and terse in demeanor. Seemed we were a bother to show up well in advance of our tee time. I said hi he said “who are you” He just did not make us feel appreciated.

Tyler and Rus the staff out at the dirici g range and starter were very friendly. Kept us informed of tee time and who we were paired with. A stark contrast to the pro shop.

We went off behind a group playing a weekly game. FIVE HOURS is unacceptable. That coupled with the drunk group behind us who kept hitting up on us and crowding the tee boxes with their music blaring and foul language telling us to play faster when there was visibly a group on the green. The Marshall was no where to be seen. Unsatisfactory.

Course condition was ok tee to green. Greens were horrific. Bare spots and mottled appearance. They did not discount the green fees. For GolfNow doesn’t know how crappy it is but 115 each for this was HIGHWAY ROBBERY. Not just the casinos that rip you off.

Cart girl was visible and friendly. The girl at the bar was also friendly.

I will not be back.
