this course is very playable

Got offer from GolfNow for $35, Very nice design with bowl layout that rewards errant shots that kick back into fairways. Greens require some knowledge to save par. Pro shop friendly and helpful and no stress when running behind after driving from airport.
They have good food in the restaurant at reasonable prices.

Play elsewhere

The course wasn't bad but didn't feature anything worth remembering. I was paired with two older members who were incredibly cranky at the thought of being paired with me. It caused my round to take much longer and killed pace. Conditions were fine but the course itself lacked pop. The greens fees are probably on the cheaper end for decent Vegas courses so you get what you pay for.

A decent layout that offers a bit of everything.

The course layout is in keeping with what I have seen many times with Sun City / Del Webb courses. Basic resort style layout that gives you a taste of everything. Course conditions were OK. The grass had it's issues here and there. Greens were a little beat up, but playable. Good overall course for most players.

Excellent, as usual

Waited half an hour practicing putting and chipping as there was a mini outing. As soon as the tournament was over, the pro shop sent us to the 1st tee. Over seeded tees to greens were somewhat slow but beautiful. Took advantage of playing gold (forward) tees I had never played here. It was like playing a different course. From pro shop staff to a ranger, they are super friendly.

exellent course, great view.

Very nice layout, forgiving fairways, greens are bit slow, I think because of the time of the year, October.
Great scenery, looking down to the strip, friendly staff, good price.

Nice Views

Views were really nice. Many holes were either going downhill or uphill with many rolls in the fairway. The fairways were dormant many places and lacking grass. The rough had lots of dead grass from being mowed tall. Very wide fairways with many sand traps that really do not come into play much. Nice to play once but probably won't be back.

fun golf course

Highland Falls is always fun to play and is usually in very good condition. However two fairways (#6 and #9) were in very poor shape. The course is not long but can be challenging nonetheless.

LA Dodger Duke Sims

Great course. Beautiful views, lots of elevation. Played as a single till the 16 hole where I played in with 2 great people. Met up for a Honey Beer @ the 19th. Found I just played golf with Duke Sims. A professional baseball player form the 60s and 70s. Turns out he lives there and we are gonna play more golf. The course really is a joy to play

Hot and sassie

The course was in great shape and the greens held the shots better than expected for the heat we were having. We had a very good putting day and shot low scores for both of us. We had a total of 5 minutes wait.

great viewing

The course is very fair with wide fairways. The Back nine has 4 holes straight up the mountain that give wow vistas of the Las Vegas Valley. A fun course for all

Lovely Course

It was suggested by playing partner that if I wanted some good golf in Vegas then I should head off to any of the three Summerlin courses, of which Highland Falls is one. Depending on where you are based on the strip then this course shouldn't be more than 30 minutes away, and based on some of the other prices I've seen this course is one of the cheaper ones too (not necessarily cheap, just cheaper).

From the moment you get to the pro shop you know that you're onto a winner. It all just looks so nice, from the clubhouse to the practise facilities, and especially the course.

The holes are all pretty much "what you see is what you get", with only the 18th looking like it has a slight dog leg to it. What you get is some gorgeous looking holes, some with mountain views and some with city views. What you don't get is a single bad hole.

Yes, the course runs through housing, but the fairways are fairly generous and none of the housing should be in danger (although I almost gave one home a scare!). The greens, tees, and fairways are also in very good condition.

I played at 06:24, and so the speed of play was whatever we wanted it to be.

YOU SHOULD TRY IT...

I have played this course before and also it's sister course Palm Valley. I prefer Highland Falls and it was interesting and challenging. I will definitely play it again.

Very interesting layout - Highly recommended

This is the best time of year to play this course since the rough and fairways are in excellent shape and the greens are in near perfect condition, although a bit slower than some of the championship courses. Nice elevation changes and views.
