Nice Views

Views were really nice. Many holes were either going downhill or uphill with many rolls in the fairway. The fairways were dormant many places and lacking grass. The rough had lots of dead grass from being mowed tall. Very wide fairways with many sand traps that really do not come into play much. Nice to play once but probably won't be back.

fun golf course

Highland Falls is always fun to play and is usually in very good condition. However two fairways (#6 and #9) were in very poor shape. The course is not long but can be challenging nonetheless.

LA Dodger Duke Sims

Great course. Beautiful views, lots of elevation. Played as a single till the 16 hole where I played in with 2 great people. Met up for a Honey Beer @ the 19th. Found I just played golf with Duke Sims. A professional baseball player form the 60s and 70s. Turns out he lives there and we are gonna play more golf. The course really is a joy to play

Hot and sassie

The course was in great shape and the greens held the shots better than expected for the heat we were having. We had a very good putting day and shot low scores for both of us. We had a total of 5 minutes wait.

great viewing

The course is very fair with wide fairways. The Back nine has 4 holes straight up the mountain that give wow vistas of the Las Vegas Valley. A fun course for all

Lovely Course

It was suggested by playing partner that if I wanted some good golf in Vegas then I should head off to any of the three Summerlin courses, of which Highland Falls is one. Depending on where you are based on the strip then this course shouldn't be more than 30 minutes away, and based on some of the other prices I've seen this course is one of the cheaper ones too (not necessarily cheap, just cheaper).

From the moment you get to the pro shop you know that you're onto a winner. It all just looks so nice, from the clubhouse to the practise facilities, and especially the course.

The holes are all pretty much "what you see is what you get", with only the 18th looking like it has a slight dog leg to it. What you get is some gorgeous looking holes, some with mountain views and some with city views. What you don't get is a single bad hole.

Yes, the course runs through housing, but the fairways are fairly generous and none of the housing should be in danger (although I almost gave one home a scare!). The greens, tees, and fairways are also in very good condition.

I played at 06:24, and so the speed of play was whatever we wanted it to be.

YOU SHOULD TRY IT...

I have played this course before and also it's sister course Palm Valley. I prefer Highland Falls and it was interesting and challenging. I will definitely play it again.

Very interesting layout - Highly recommended

This is the best time of year to play this course since the rough and fairways are in excellent shape and the greens are in near perfect condition, although a bit slower than some of the championship courses. Nice elevation changes and views.

I Love This Course

I'm a 75 year old senior who hits it far and I have a pretty good short-game. I enjoyed the course because, while I wouldn't consider the fairways to be narrow, mis-hits can get you in trouble. I like playing courses whereby you don't always hit the driver ... sometimes you're better off hitting a Three Wood or something. Great fun!

This course is great for the price

The staff here is always very friendly from the pro shop to the beverage cart. Sweeping views of Las Vegas on the back nine make this course really fun to play.

Breezy Day

There was a 10 to 15 mph wind the day I played. The course has some vertical changes that the wind made more difficult, but overall played fair. The fairways are lined with houses, but are wide enough and sloped on the sides to move the ball back into play. The greens are moderately fast and have some subtle slopes that can make them difficult to read. The challenge on the course is definitely in the putting!

Third best course in Sun City Summerlin.

Much better courses in the area. Decent course but with a plethora of really good options nearby i would bypass this course and play palm valley, eagle crest, painted desert, angel park, durango hills...

Good experience

This was a great course for the money, course is short but shot placement is key. The greens are pretty big and challenging.

The person that checked us in was really friendly and helpful. The only draw back was the older lady in the restaurant/bar that would not help me ( was standing at the bar for about 5 min, she walk to the register in the bar twice, did not even acknowledge me). We ended up getting sodas from the other lady at the restaurant register, when we came in for a refill the older lady gave us a disgusted look, we said thank you, she mumbled under her breath and walked away. I would have given a 1 star if it wasn't for the guy at the pro shop that checked us in.

Nice walk generous fairways

This course was in excellent condition. My wife and I rode but it would be an easy walk. Gentle slopes and generous fairways make this a great course for a high handicapper that after being beat up at the casino wants a chance at redemption on the course. It was still fun for me as it lets you wind up and give it all on the wide fairways. Its always a good first course to play to get the cobwebs out.

nice course

Course was user friendly, with many fairways sloped so errant shots ran back into the fairway. However there was enough water and sand traps to make the course interesting. Views of the stripe on the back nine are equal to some courses charging a lot more. Pace of play was excellent. Will play here again.
