About
The Country Club of Hilton Head rambles over a variety of terrain, including rolling, open expanses, pine and oak woodlands and freshwater ponds and marshlands. Each hole is distinctive, as a golfer must negotiate water hazards, contoured fairways, pot bunkers and sculpted bunkers, and grass hollows.This facility features constant elevation tees, landing areas and greens, as well as the only punch bowl-shaped green in the area. The Country Club of Hilton Head layout also features 3 doglegs, undulating and tiered greens and two par-5's that stretch more than 575 yards in length. An excellent, fair test of golf for all skill levels.

Excellent course and great staff
Had a great time playing The Country Club of Hilton Head. A must play. Only complaint was the pace of play early in the round. We unfortunately waited on every shot from the 2nd hole and the group behind us was right on our tail the entire round. Greens and fairways were perfect. The course management made phenomenal preparations to support a safe environment given the COVID 19 pandemic. Best I have ever seen at any course I have played this year. Well done.
Beautiful Course
Nicest course ever played at Hilton Head Island! Staff was very friendly and course is is masterpiece. You can really tell that they take pride. I will be back later this week to play again.
Great as always
We always have a great time at CCHH. Staff was very friendly and the facilities were excellent. The golf course is very enjoyable and the layout is beautiful as well as challenging. The greens were in good shape with just a little sand remaining from airification I presume. We played the blue tees and found the course a great test. Will return.
Too many bugs
the course was great . Played there many times. But today the bugs were horrible and they need to spray. Wouldn't go back in summer until they correct the problem
Course was in great shape with a friendly staff. The tees allowed for all.skill levels to play. Greens played very well, especially for a.monday.
Great course
Great layout. Interesting holes with dog legs. Course was in good shape all the way around. You will not regret playing here.
Course great COVID-19 ready not so much
The course was wonderful and we had a great time.
However other than the pro behind the desk who thanked me for wearing a mask no one else did.
I was surprised when ordering a soda that the person reached down with bare hands and put ice in my cup.
COVID-19 is real and I don’t believe they are following cdc guidelines.
Hilton Head CC, a great course to enjoy
The staff was very friendly and took the initiative to introduce us to our playing partners. Enjoyed the course even though the fairways had been air rated and two greens as well.
Great staff and a wonderful course
First time playing the course today and was very impressed. The gentleman in the clubhouse allowed me to go off a little early to beat the rain predicted for later in the afternoon. Great layout and beautiful conditions.
Amazing
Even with punched greens, this course was unreal. What an amazing layout, combining the natural beauty of lowland South Carolina and Rees brilliance. Everybody should play this course when visiting Hilton Head!
Outstanding Condition
Only negative about this course was pace of play:. 4:20. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Course was in immaculate condition. In spite of being in a community, the presence of houses was understated, and the course was aesthetically pleasing. Layout was challenging but not overwhelming. Greens were fast and true. After the first nine, several groups dropped out, and we were able to determine that a foursome ahead of our twosome was responsible for the tedious pace. They seemed oblivious to the fact that others were also on the course. In fairness, we didn't complain. Rather, we looked for alligators (only saw two) and balls. Can't rate other amenities because they were closed by the time we were done. Best-conditioned of the four courses we played on this visit to HHI. Since all have been above average, this is high praise.
Golf in Hilton Head
Terrific course on peaceful setting. Par 5, 12th hole is a post card for sure. Greens in great shape. Would definitely play again and recommend to anyone in Hilton Head.
