About
The course at the Wedgefield Golf & Country Club, although suitable for all golfers, is most appropriate for intermediate players. The affordably priced Wedgefield Golf Club used to be known as Rocket City and Cape Orlando. The course has a classic-Florida style layout with medium sized greens that are guarded by bunkers and fairways lined with cypress trees. There is water on the golf course but it is not a significant factor in the game. However, there is one hole, the par-3 sixth hole that is surrounded on three sides by water. Wedgefield Golf & Country Club, in addition to the course, has a chipping area and putting green as well as a golf school.

I love this course
Great value for the money. Friendly staff. Much improved playing conditions. It’s a little out of the way, but well worth the drive.
Steamy day
Course overall was in good shape considering the rains and periods of dry hit weather. The greens were unusually soft. Even a chip shot from short distance would leave a ball mark. They putted well. Amenities feel short. At the turn your choose was a soda or beer from the fridge in the pro shop and maybe a candy bar or chips. The restaurant and bar have closed down. Rumor is the restaurant will come back in the fall. Just in time for the snow birds to arrive.
Great overall.
Some of the best greens I've seen in a while. The fairways could use some work. Balds spots but better than I've seen on this course.
Overall Experience was 4 stars
Enjoyed the course but the drive is long from my home and was disappointed to arrive an hour before Tee-time to be told the practice range was closed because range balls were unable to be retrieved.
Been a while but was worth the wait
I used to play this course quite often in the past but it started falling off and the greens and others parts of the course were dismal at best. I saw the recent reviews and decided to give it another try and I was not disappointed. Every single green was beautiful and in such great condition. These greens were the best greens I’ve putted on in over a year. The course was in great condition and the layout is awesome. There were a few holes with beat up tee boxes and the driving range was a bit magoo, but everything else was great.
Good shape
Fairways were as good as I have seen here going back 5 years when I played my first round here. Owner is making it happen. Green are true, just a have little ling grass so you can hit them firm. A little faster around the whole where people walk more. Tee boxes are all nice well. Ladies and men’s. 👍⛳️
