Wedgefield Golf Club
About
The course at the Wedgefield Golf & Country Club, although suitable for all golfers, is most appropriate for intermediate players. The affordably priced Wedgefield Golf Club used to be known as Rocket City and Cape Orlando. The course has a classic-Florida style layout with medium sized greens that are guarded by bunkers and fairways lined with cypress trees. There is water on the golf course but it is not a significant factor in the game. However, there is one hole, the par-3 sixth hole that is surrounded on three sides by water. Wedgefield Golf & Country Club, in addition to the course, has a chipping area and putting green as well as a golf school.

Good shape
Fairways were as good as I have seen here going back 5 years when I played my first round here. Owner is making it happen. Green are true, just a have little ling grass so you can hit them firm. A little faster around the whole where people walk more. Tee boxes are all nice well. Ladies and men’s. 👍⛳️
Greens and T-boxes were good, fairways need some work.
Good value
Been taking good care of the course, one of the better values around!
Good layout, nice staff, very laid back if you don't need the elite country club experience.
1st time not the last
Besides maybe 3 fairways that have some bare spots where they have sprayed for weeds I was impressed. Tee boxes and greens were immaculate. Fun course layout and great distances to keep you striving to hit GIR.
This course has improved over the past 3 years
3 years ago the course was not in good shape but now it's much better. All the greens are nearly perfect and the fairways are average. Good course for the money.
Best shape of any course in East Orange
Greens are in great shape although cut a little slow right now. Understandable as dry as it’s been. Tee boxes are also in pretty good shape. Fairways are as good as could be Espe Ted in this drought. My favorite course on the eastern side right now.
Fun
Course was in good shape. Greens were extremely slow and a little bumpy
Greens like shag carpet
I played here a few times before and the greens were OK. On this occasion they had NOT been cut. Waiting for the weekend to cut? I won't be back.
Needs some improvement
So this is the first time that I was able to play this particular golf course. I was excited to play someplace new even though I’ve lived in the greater Orlando area for 20 years. I’ve never been able to play this course. First and foremost, the staff should probably be replaced, I decided to pay with cash and was immediately given an attitude by the gentleman behind the counter.
I was told that I could go anytime and I guess the teatime that I booked didn’t really matter. I was able to link up with four other players and play as a five.Sum. The only delightful thing about the golf course were the people I played with. The greens are like shag carpeting. The fairways are not well put together and it didn’t look like they had cut a hole in the greens for at least 3 to 5 days. Meaning that the Cop was collapsed and overused.
I would think twice about coming to this golf course with the attitude of the front office, staff and the overall course conditions.
I really liked it. 15 of 18 greens were really nice. A little slow but you can't cut em short when it's super hot if you want th full and green which they were. The other 3 were almost fully recovered from aeration but not quite. Great layout, good carts. A few tee boxes needed some help . 3 hour round. It was mother's day. I'm gonna go again.
