Wedgefield Golf Club

The layout of the course was good. Greens were in good condition. There was no ranger to keep players moving. 2 foursomes in front of us with the lead foursome more interested in drinking than playing golf. Cosequently we waited on every hole on the back nine about 10 minutes at each hole.....wholely unacceptable and frustrating. I will not be back.

1st: course is 100% better than couple of years ago, and owner is constantly working improvements . Greens are nice, good mix of short & long holes. Water ditch can suck up poor shots on a few holes. I, as single, paired up with a couple nice guys, played front9 in good fashion, but the back9 came to a snail's pace. Still, it was a Saturday & maybe some money games affected back9 pace. GN Hot Deals is a great value, but course is in good condition & not a consolation choice. I'll be back to redeem score, but poor chips & putting not the fault of course.

Our group, 2 regular couples, played Wedgefield for the 1st time, and were very impressed. The course was in very good condition, playable and challenging enough. We should have paided more attention to the layout on the back of the scorecard and on each tee box ,as there are a few hidden gullies and ponds. Although the course was an hour away from our rental, we will schedule it again since we greatly enjoyed the low cost, well conditioned course.

Liked this course quite a bit. Very forgiving large fairways. Greens in good shape. Fairways were decent as well. Paired up with Carole and Denis from Virginia on the 3rd hole which helped pace of play. Was a little far but hey for 35$ how could I complain. Loving Golfnow.

Greens in excellent condition. Rolled very nicely. Fairways have bare spots in many areas. Many weeds around the fairways. Bunkers did not have much sand in them, mostly hard dirt. Good open layout with some water hazards and trees. Decent course for the money.

Wedgefield continues to provide us average golfers with a good experience at a good price. Glad to see they are working to keep their greens fees moderate.

Course very good shape for the money, but had to wait till 2 minutes before tee time to get a cart. Carrying clubs to driving range was tough for me. Little ways to range. But we played on Tuesday and course was full. Just need more carts to service the golfers they have. Definitely go back though. In very good shape for public course.

Great course FOR THE MONEY YOU PAY! Keep that in mind. For $30-$35 it’s great. It’s not a $50 and up course. Fairways decent, greens in pretty good shape. Decent layout. For under $35 I would go back for sure.

1. Pace of play today (Tuesday) so slow !!! We had a 3 ball in Front of us playing of a he tips. Yes they were great golfers but they took forever and had no idea of ready golf !! To be fair there were many groups in front of them that were holding up play but they must have been playing for a lot of money the amount of time they took each hole !!

2. Course is in great shape. Greens were really nice and the layout is good and challenging

Overall enjoyed my round, with the exception of taking over 4.5 hours - when I finished the cart guy said they ran out of carts as it was taking people so long to play !!!

Course is in good shape. Love all the improvements. May I suggest adding the red, white and blue flag system to alert golfers on where the pin in positioned.

Although the course was not immaculate, it was great for the money and difficult enough to keep this old guy interested
