About
The course at the Wedgefield Golf & Country Club, although suitable for all golfers, is most appropriate for intermediate players. The affordably priced Wedgefield Golf Club used to be known as Rocket City and Cape Orlando. The course has a classic-Florida style layout with medium sized greens that are guarded by bunkers and fairways lined with cypress trees. There is water on the golf course but it is not a significant factor in the game. However, there is one hole, the par-3 sixth hole that is surrounded on three sides by water. Wedgefield Golf & Country Club, in addition to the course, has a chipping area and putting green as well as a golf school.

What a comeback
Place was a goat farm 4 years ago. Now it feels like Torrey Pines. What a comeback! Just needs new/more carts and place would be extra special. Maybe a cart girl.
Getting better each time.
This course has come a long way, it has improved quite a bit, still has some dried out areas but fairways are good, greens are coming along nicely. Overall a good experience, windy day made for a challenging round.
Nice afternoon
Course is in good shape. Number of interesting holes.
Great value for the price. Friendly staff. Nice course layout and plenty of maintenance people working on the course. Lunch was good and reasonably priced. Will definitely come back here.
Nice Neighborhood Course
We liked this neighborhood course. We were treated very well by the Staff. Great value and would recommended it to anyone visiting the Orlando area being only a 40 (+/-)minute ride.
Great Improvement!
Haven't played this course in a while, and I'm glad to be back. There have been a LOT of improvements. The tee boxes and fairways are in good shape, and they have installed new concrete cart paths on some of the holes. All in all Wedgefield is a nice course and I will definitely be back.
Good Course
Good Course in great shape no amenities small shop and no quick food at the turn. Food was good though. Just expected more for the price.
Very nice course for price
The owners redid all the greens and t boxes. The fairways are also very well kept. I really enjoy playing here.
Yardage finder needed
Golf course. Amazing for its price. greens are in excellent condition. Fairways just as well. Only downfall of the course is there’s NO yardage markers. and scored my first eagle of my lifetime.
Lots of construction going on
Overall decent grass everywhere on the course, front nine greens were a lot slower than the back nine greens fyi
Fairways need watering
We always see improvements weekly on this course. Since we have not had rain, the fairways are burning up fast. Watering is needed.
Two other points I keep putting is, they need rakes in the bunkers and the 3 colored flag system to show where the hole is cut.
Course is on track
Owner has made tremendous progress over the past 3 years. Greens are nice. Fairways much improved. Nice layout. Pace of play was great- 3hours
Need more carts
The course was in great shape and was enjoyable to play. However, this is the second time we have been there and have had to wait for carts to be available. The need to get more carts in stock. Also, finally the restaurant was open on a Wednesday...and the food was great.
OLD SCHOOL
My wife and I went out as a twosome, no problem, and had a great day. There was a quaint “old school” atmosphere to the place. The course was actually in great shape from tee box to hole. By the way, did I mention how well I played and that it was sunny and 82 (both temperature and score).
Lack of golf carts
Waited 35 minutes past our scheduled tee time for golf carts.. Our group of 4 was just part of the other groups waiting in line. Call before you head over to make sure the carts are ready .
