About
The course at the Wedgefield Golf & Country Club, although suitable for all golfers, is most appropriate for intermediate players. The affordably priced Wedgefield Golf Club used to be known as Rocket City and Cape Orlando. The course has a classic-Florida style layout with medium sized greens that are guarded by bunkers and fairways lined with cypress trees. There is water on the golf course but it is not a significant factor in the game. However, there is one hole, the par-3 sixth hole that is surrounded on three sides by water. Wedgefield Golf & Country Club, in addition to the course, has a chipping area and putting green as well as a golf school.

Wedgefield - Great spot
The course has been going thru renovations and work for some time. From 5 greens being replaced to re-route on #8, 9 and 18, to tee boxes being worked on, this has been a decide improvement over the past ownership. The Value for a full course with a mix of scoreable and challenging holes, it is a fun spot at a great price. This is midway from Orlando to the coast and is one of the go to spots for group I play with. This spot is definitely worth a shot with so many courses in poor condition and/or over priced.

Had a super time staff friendly course played well small greens in super condition great fun would recommend a visit .
Much improved
I played this course 2 1/2 years ago and it was a cow pasture. It is very much improved, definitely will be back.
What a pleasant surprise!
I played this course multiple times in the last few years and the conditions were less than desirable. Yesterday, I felt like I was at a different course all together. The layout has always been great, but now the fairways, greens and bunkers are also very good. Whatever you’re doing Wedgefield management, keep it up.

What a difference in a years time. I can believe how well the new greens and how well maintained the course is. Staff was very friendly and very accommodating. I will be back and spread the word!

First time playing Wedgefield . Pro shop was very helpful and extremely nice. Had lunch food was awesome. Greens very impressive. Over all a great day.

Nice shape
I have played Wedgefield many times over the years but not in the last 6-7 years. I was pleasantly surprised at how good a shape the course is in. Really enjoyed the round!
