North Shore Golf Course
About
The 18-hole North Shore Golf Club in Orlando, Florida is a semi-private golf course that opened in 2001. The course slides around lakes and wetlands, and then detours through a grove of large ancient oak trees before re-emerging into the clear at the finish. It has two distinct nines converging to form one remarkable 18-hole layout. Begin your round on the Modern nine, winding through native wetlands and Florida's natural topography. The Classic nine is carved through a grove of 100-year old oak trees, creating an enjoyably unique setting for your finishing holes. North Shore Golf Club is located less than 10 minutes from Orlando International Airport and offers a complete practice facility and world-class instruction.

#13 fairway, long and wide. Ignore the brown grass in the foreground - the fairways are lush enough to hit fairway woods on the par 5s with ease. Photo submitted by Buckleahy on 02/23/2013

Good layout but the course need help.
The layout is excellent — well-designed, strategic, and enjoyable to play. However, the fairways were patchy and inconsistent, and the greens were slow, bumpy, and in need of major work.
For the price they charge, it’s simply not worth it. Great design, but the condition doesn’t match the cost.
Poor poor poor
The course was in terrible condition. They were mowing on the fairway while we were trying to hit. Then they had huge blowers blowing the sand on the greens around. Stay away until conditions clear up.
Trying to get in touch is not easy
I arrived at the course today to be told it was closed due to maintenance to the course they told me to get in touch with golf now to be refunded my money that was prepaid the day before
Horrible condition for $80
Horrible shape. There are $40 courses in wayyyy better condition. Majority of the fairways overrun with crab grass. Tee boxes are just as bad. Most of the greens are ok. Save your $80.
What happened?
This used to be such a solid course with great value. Now the greens are half mud, tee boxes are in awful shape, and they’re still charging close to $100.
Over priced for price
Course was in bad shape. Tee boxes, fairways and greens were rough. Charging way to much for conditions. Won’t play here again for awhile.
Summer Work is Happening
Course was immaculate for probably 6 months now the course has dried out everywhere and weeds are exposed. Fairways are hard with crab grass. Greens do run quick. Layout is good, staff is awesome, bar service very friendly. If you play an afternoon round and are not expecting lush conditions, this is your place.hoping there is a long term plan to keep the course in better shape end of May to October as it gets pretty rough.
Rough conditions
I understand summer time is tough for Florida conditions but haven’t seen this course in this bad of shape in my time in Florida. Only positive was it looks like the summer rates are now in effect so at least you’re not paying over $115 for those course conditions. Hopefully they can get this course back to the conditions I have seen it in before.
Not worth the money
Greens were painted and patchy. Fairways had way too much crabgrass than fairway…,The money they charge is not worth it.
Not worth the price
The course conditions are deteriorating. Most of the greens are decent, and roll fast and true, but tee boxes are bad, and a number of fairways are in poor condition. It is not worth the $80 they charge for weekend play, especially in summer months. Until conditions improve and pricing gets more reasonable, we'll be looking elsewhere.
Just bad overall
Imo terrible greens, rock hard. Like concrete. They spray paint the grass to make it look better and charge 80$+ in the morning?? I do not suggest playing here right now go to Stoneybrook east right down the road if you don’t want to play off of concrete and spray paint greens
Great course, friendly but a little bit of a rip off
I booked a tee time in the afternoon so I could have my 4 year old ride with me for the first time. They charged $30+ "spectator" fee for him to ride with me. The course is already overpriced compared to others in the area, but $30 for a 4 year old to ride seems ridiculous.
Convenient Location, Good Course
This is a good course but happens to be very convenient for our group that live locally. Course conditions are better than recent reviews I have read. Greens don’t look great but putt true and at a good speed. Some tee boxes are very rough. Fairways are fine, not as nice looking as when the rye is there, but they are good. The two biggest issues are pace of play (no rangers to move groups that have 2 holes between them and the group ahead of them). No advance warning of locations in fairways that will lock up your cart due to low lying. This is crazy and not good heading into summer.
My favorite Course in Orlando
I think for the money this is the absolute best place to play
North Shore Golf Course
You need to drop your bags at the drop bag point, no golf cars in parking lot. We were assigned golf cars by number in the shop but some numbers were already used and gone. The restaurant was good for the drinks not so much for meals. The course itself is very challenging but is in good shape, the fairways are kept in good conditions as well as the tees. The greens were are also in excellent shape with the slopes and locations of flags holes in fair locations. Will definitely play again this course again. Ensure to bring few extra balls for some of the water holes available through the course
Great course
A beautiful and challenging course. The first 9 holes feel a lot like a links course, while the second 9 become more challenging because of the water hazards and old oak trees. Definitely highly recommended to play there.
