North Shore Golf Course

About
The 18-hole North Shore Golf Club in Orlando, Florida is a semi-private golf course that opened in 2001. The course slides around lakes and wetlands, and then detours through a grove of large ancient oak trees before re-emerging into the clear at the finish. It has two distinct nines converging to form one remarkable 18-hole layout. Begin your round on the Modern nine, winding through native wetlands and Florida's natural topography. The Classic nine is carved through a grove of 100-year old oak trees, creating an enjoyably unique setting for your finishing holes. North Shore Golf Club is located less than 10 minutes from Orlando International Airport and offers a complete practice facility and world-class instruction.

#13 fairway, long and wide. Ignore the brown grass in the foreground - the fairways are lush enough to hit fairway woods on the par 5s with ease. Photo submitted by Buckleahy on 02/23/2013

Too wet
The recent rains have made a mess of the property. It was cart path only, and actually the course should have closed. Some of the cart pats were under water, the fairways were “mush” and the greens are patchy- but did roll well in the sections not impacted by either the moisture or fungus. The course just needs to dry out so the maintenance staff can give it the attention it needs.
It was so wet that tee shots plugged in the middle of some of the fairways and were nearly impossible to find.
Never Was told CPO and Greens were Garbage
Course was basically under water, no mention of Cart Path Only whatsoever, Greens were in TERRIBLE shape. I won’t be back anytime soon. Go Play Eagle Creek right down the road. It’s a much better deal.
Soggy mess.
Apparently the course received a lot of rain the previous night. More than 3 holes should have been cart path only because some people will drive anywhere. There is drainage but it didn’t keep up.
Nice Track
Nice course. Some of the greens were damaged but other than that it is a nice layout and the staff is great.
Opening issue
I had a 710/715 tee time and at 701am the shop was still not open and 20-30 problem were out front frustrated. Tee times started at 7 as in understood it from those waiting and nobody could pay or go and hit balls. I ended up not playing and left disappointed that a golf course would not have the shop open at least 30 minutes prior to all tee times starting. I could not get a refund from GOLFNOW and had to eat the fee. Really disappointed as this is my local course that I have played for years. Not intending to return in the future and will not recommend. I have been playing for a long time and never seen this before. It is not the first time either.
It's been better
We were only able to finish seven holes before the rain washed out the course! However of the seven holes played 4 had problems, bald spots etc.
Pond next to the teeing area for the 15th hole
The environment of the North Shoes Golf Course is deteriorating day by day. A large pond right next to the teeing area for the 15th hole has become an absolute mess. Just a year ago, it was the largest, most beautiful, and clearest pond on the entire golf course. Now, it has turned into the beginning stages of a swampy wetland. It’s truly a shame that such a beautiful pond has become such an ugly, foul-smelling, abandoned water pit. I really wouldn’t recommend anyone to come play golf at this course.
Good bang for your buck!
I've never had a bad time at North Shore Golf Course.. ..and the courses in very good shape.

Awful condition
Greens in awful condition. They were punched recently and dead spots all over. The greens looked like a sand trap
The course has a great challenging layout. but was not in adequate condition , maybe was because rain out, or were doing some kind of maintenance. Right now is not in a great to play.
Beware…Aeration in progress
Course is pretty rough right now, but I like the layout. No aeration alert on GN, but when I arrived they said to “start on the back, the front side is being aerated.” Unbeknownst to me, that meant the front side was closed and you had to play the backside twice. First time around, played in 1:45; headed back to the #10 again, and it was totally backed up. Walked off after the first 9, be sure to call before you go to see what’s going on.
Little rough
Course was wet which is understandable this time of year, some of the tee boxes were completely gone and lots of weeds that they don't seem to care to address shouldn't be that hard to go kill some weeds. Overall not too bad like most courses just needs a little more attention.
Fun track, decent shape
Great staff, fun course. I'm a regular here. This place runs hot and cold. Lukewarm now. Greens are struggling. The course is very playable. Wet with all the recent rains. Pace of play was great. We played 18 in under 4 hours.
Some greens need improvements and the ruff were very high
