Value for the money if you can get a hot deal…I would not have pay $80 to play. Very good pace it take 4hrs to play. We were pair with two really nice gentlemen. There is no water only sand traps and there a lot.

I get it. A lot of courses aren't spending the money to over-seed Bermuda in the winter .... they're simply spraying green paint on the dormant grass. The operative word here, being "grass".

They don't have much grass to spray the paint on. The Green surrounds are atrocious. There's simply no grass. It's hardpan, painted green. There's no telling what your ball is going to do when it hits. Whether an approach shot or a chip/pitch. Combine this with rock hard Greens and it's hard to tell where your ball is going to end up.

Course design was unimaginative and typical of Gordon Lewis courses. He designs for residential subdivisions, where the Developer doesn't want to spend much money on design or construction. Like everything in life, you get what you pay for.

Their range was no better. I take that back, it was worse. You get to "hit from grass", but there's no grass.

Maybe it's just a personal preference, but I hate playing golf courses, where "rakes" are on the carts and not in Bunkers. It's a pain in the butt and just (IMO) a way to save a few dollars. Tacky, in my opinion.

All that said, the Staff was excellent. From the Front Desk, to the Director of Golf (Denise), the Ranger (Larry). Golf these days is the Hospitality business and the staff seems to understand that and did an exceptional job. Pace of Play was great.

Just. All around great course. Cart guys make it even better. Super stars. Especially mike.

- Need to offer resident discounts to Calesa residents.

- Need breakfast to go options (burritos, etc).

- Pro shop merchandise is extremely overpriced.

- Staff is very friendly and remembers names. Very good customer service.

- Need water buckets to wet club towels.

Overall, very nice course to play.

Playing this course never disappoints. The STAFF both inside and outside the Pro Shop are very friendly and helpful. True Professionals! The course is very highly maintained. It would seem like they have an army getting the course ready each and every day. The crews take such pride in the fairways and the greens they are to be commended.

We have had the opportunity to have lunch and also their Sunday brunch while seated outdoor, on the spacious deck, food and service was great and not rushed!. I'm not a member but if I lived in Ocala I would be.

Because I saw this place, it was highly commented, but in the process of yesterday, I found that it was very dry, there were no water barriers at all, the grass was very dry, and the layout of the game was very interesting. The dinner was great, and the staff was also great.

Chandler Hills is one of the best courses in the Ocala area. A lot of sand and big sloping greens. Recommend playing later in day when prices come down with $10 credit.

Course is always in beautiful shape. Stack some rewards and go alittle later in the day, you’ll enjoy a steal of a round..
