About
On the Classic Club's scenic landscape, golfers will find a wide variety of trees including olive trees, towering pines, and California pepper, but unlike the many other golf courses in Palm Springs, there isn't a single palm tree. The Classic Club opened in 2006 to much acclaim and has since garnered a following amongst locals and visitors. Formerly a host site for the Bob Hope Classic, the challenging layout has an interesting mix of tour-worthy holes including intimidating par 3s balanced by reachable par-5s and short par-4s. Water hazards come into play on 13 holes. The back nine begins with a memorable stretch of holes. The par-4 10th is a tight driving hole with an elevated green and the 11th hole requires a shot over water. The stretch ends with the par-3 12th, which also plays over water to a well protected green.

Tough course, good pace of play, good value
Played as 4some on Monday at 1240p. Finished in 4:15. Tough course with no rough between fairway and water so nothing stops balls from rolling in. Good conditions, with only a few patchy areas on a couple holes. Greens were quite nice. Good value with towel gift and $25 food voucher. Staff was very friendly. Would go back.
First Time ….but will be back
Played this course for the first time. If you had the opportunity to play a couple times, I think a 6-12 handicapper could shave off 4-5 strokes. It was pretty calm when I played, but heard it can get difficult when breezy. Great track! Greens we’re running 11-13 on stimp meter. Will be back!
Always good to, but…
Classic Club has always been one of our staples when coming to the area for vacation. This year the fairways were not consistent and a few areas that were not good. But generally ok. Greens are good, bunkers were ok, but someone in front of us wasn’t raking them. Course is hard, so be sure you play the right tees. And if you are bringing guests that are not decent golfers, they will struggle. Wind is usually a challenge, but wasn’t the day we played. So after asking the 8 people in our group how they enjoyed it, it rated a 7.
Great course and staff
Very enjoyable round of golf. Staff was great, The course offers a challenging layout with lot's of water and sand, but it was in great shape. Had a perfect no wind day.
Great Play
Finally able to play course. Exceeded expectations.we played on a perfect day, no wind. This course might be a handful if wind is up, which does occur in the PSP area.
The club and course is first rate. Staff very helpful.
Also got a towel and $25 voucher for food!
Troop course.
Will go back next year!!
Mariott Palm course
Parking your car is just an adventure, the hotel is so busy that golf is just an added service.
The lady starter on duty was very nice and I felt welcomed. Pace of play was excellent as we played inside four hours. Nice city layout but the greens were not in good conditions as they were very bumpy.
Always Nice
We play this course every time we travel to the area. The course is always in good shape. The Starters do a great job. Practice facilities are always good. Food has been very good. Some may think it is expensive but you get a nice golf towel and $25 voucher for food and drink with each green fee. The cost is competitive.
