Great course! But…
First I love this course and will continue to play it but I have a recommendation. One improvement needed with gps on cart. The pin placements did not match the screen’s pin location as we were told they would. The old school front , middle, or back flags would be more telling.
Wonderful
Great layout with challenging holes and fantastic views. Greens were excellent with some difficult reads. A lovely day out. Will return.
Great gem of a course
Absolute gem.. course was in great shape. Fairways where near perfect and the greens rolled pure... although kinda slow. But healthy.. Staff was super friendly. And accommodating. I just wish it was closer and I'd play it more
Lake Arrowhead is good, course as well!
Green was slow and overall turf level is high, so it would have been perfect if mowed and rolled. Pther than that perfect layout and beautiful course.
Fun layout, very well maintained, not crowded
I've played all but one of the GA State Park courses. Each are all well maintained but Arrowhead Pointe is the best of them all. It has plenty of challenge if you choose to play from the Black or Blue tees, but the fairways are generous so it's friendly to high handicappers. The bunkers are pristine and the greens are in great shape. This was my second visit and the course has never been crowded which makes for an enjoyable pace...fast or relaxed - your choice. There are several lake-side holes which makes for nice eye candy while playing,
Hats off to the pro-shop and course maintenance staff. This has become one of my top two favorite courses in Georgia.
Great course
Beautiful setting and a challenging course but fair.
My favorite course in NE Georgia.
Arrowhead Pointe
This course is GREAT...I play it each summer I come down from Virginia.
Great layout and awesome views
Awesome views and great layout and greens in great condition will definitely play this course again!
Arrowhead - greens bit rough but they water
Staff always so friendly
Greens had been scarified
They putted slow and ok but not great
They normally are excellent
Arrowhead must draw water from the lake as the course was quite green and they had the sprinklers going despite the drought but still firm
They cut the fairways as we played but left the grass cuttings on fairway..
Guess it helps
Overall in great shape and wonderful course
Easy drive to the course
Great course-I love everything about it!!
Great scenery along lake Russell and challenging as well. Carts have gps system on them which is really helpful—distance to pin and size of greens info. This course is well worth the money—Enjoy
My New Favorite Course in GA
Amazing value for what you get. The greens were recently aerated which made it very difficult to putt. But that is to be expected for this time of year around these parts. Everything else was absolutely pristine and amazing. Tee box’s had little to no divots. Fairways plush and amazing. And the bunkers….holy moly they have the best bunker sand ever. Be sure to bring sunglasses if hitting out of a bunker, the sand is super white which is kind of blinding in the bright sun. Love this course, amazing layout, super fun and challenging. The back 9 holes have some of the best views of the lake. Will be coming back many more times.
Revert cut Greens
The cours was in great condition. The greens had been revert cut and some sand put down. It made putter very interesting.
Nice Layout
all was great but the aearation of the greens made putting impossible. I looked at the website of the course and did not see anything about aeration of the greens. So it was real golf until you got to the green. Then it was hit is as hard as you can and hope you get lucky.
Great challenging course
Arrowhead is a great challenging layout. Pace of play was a little slow today, but that was unusual. I paired up with another single on the back 9, problem solved. The greens were under airiation - normal for this time of year. I just took a stroke off - for more than a 2 put 😂. Greens and fairways were in good condition. Staff is friendly and welcoming.
