Balfron Golf Club

Brilliant course. Well looked after. Great views. Friendly staff. Not much of a clubhouse but has everything you need.

We had a great day at Balfron, we were met by a lovely woman in the clubhouse who greeted us very kindly telling us information regarding the course and it’s layout as this was our first time playing here. We also had that big bright yellow thing in the sky which doesn’t always happen in Scotland, a few clouds which helps with spotting our balls. Great course, very fair and a very pleasing layout.

If you haven’t played here then do make a point of getting there and giving it a go as we will definitely be back.

Holes are challenging. Course is immaculately maintained. Each hole has a map and yardage markers. Scenery is epic

Great wee course some great wee holes and greens are in superb condition

Played my first round the other day. Fabulous fireways and lovely greens. The course played tough with strong winds, generally a great test and unbelievable scenery. A must play! I would join here if it wasn't so far away!

We played on the wettest day in the last 3 weeks, but it didn't dampen our spirits. Very helpful lady starter gave us a few hints for the first hole, and the course is an absolute gem, great layout, good mix of hole design and set in the most stunning countryside. The gentlemen at the end apoliged for the weather which summed up the friendly, community feel of the course . We will return when the sun is shining to see this gem at its best

Course is in great condition, greens were immaculate. Very basic club house so wouldn’t advise for a social event but a lovely wee course all the same. Will definitely revisit at some point

Superb course and even better service. Course was a good but fair challenge in beautiful surroundings. Will definitely be back in the summer.

First time playing this hidden gem excellent layout and condition well worth the money and will definitely recommend and hope to return some time soon. 10 out of 10 to the ground staff for the excellent up keep and hard work put in moreover the work being done around the course to make it even better in the future.

Interesting course with good views & streams meaning positional play was required. Started off behind a slow 4 ball but they let us through early on & pace was good after that. Course condition was fairly good for time of year although the greens had been sanded fairly recently.

Played after a few days of very heavy rain - so course was wet - but in terrific condition given the weather.

Head greenkeeper was out early doors on Sunday Jan 3rd to make sure greens were OK which is pretty impressive as we were the only booking.

It's a lovely layout - not hugely long but you need to think your way round - and the scenery is awesome.

Great course and brilliant greenkeeper - will be back in the Spring...

Love this course, excellent value for money and always in better condition than any other course within 20 miles.

But every year even though they have 6 months to think about it they pap you on to winter tees that just aren't fit as a tee.
