Singing Hills Golf Resort at Sycuan - Oak Glen

Love the layout and design of this course. For the price of $100 I feel they could improve the tee boxes and bunkers. We also got stuck behind 3 ladies that were taking their sweet time and had almost a 2 hole gap in the group in front of them….no Marshall in site. You can play a lot nicer courses in the area for less money.

We have played here for years now. Our favorite course is Oak Glen. There’s so much to say about the courses overall. (I say it mostly in the many pictures I take and post on Yelp.) It’s so picturesque. The landscape has always been beautiful and well taken care of. But now there’s more gorgeous water features, waterfalls and ponds. It may mean more trouble to avoid and ways to lose a ball, but it’s so pretty to look at.

The course itself is so well manicured. The greens are smooth and pretty consistent overall. The tee boxes can sometimes have small spots to avoid but are mostly in good condition. The facilities are clean and nice. Good to know for potty stops! The carts are conveniently equipped with fantastic GPS screens that are very accurate. A great feature to have in very comfortable carts. And we can always know there will be a cart girl coming around for us to pick up a Gatorade or something to eat as needed. There is a good selection from which to choose.

I know there is even more work being done around the courses, but it’s worth whatever temporary inconvenience there might be to make things even better. It’s great to see the ownership really investing into making this place a golfer’s choice destination. And we are so thankful that we are able to find great deals so we can regularly enjoy Sycuan (affectionately aka Singing Hills) Golf Course!

An eightsome playing in front of us slowed down the entire field. Where was a Marshall to cut this off?

While all of the holes are open, it bears mentioning that they are still doing construction work on this course. Of course, they are still charging full price and won't mention any of this to you before you head out. The course is in decent shape.

Course was in good shape. Interesting holes & a fee water features. Bent grass green were nice and in good shape. Sand traps were ok.

Although my score may not reflect it, my golf outing yesterday was one of the best in memory! Oak Glen is beautiful, well kept, and has excellent greens. I like water hazards, of which there are several, but they were neither greedy or stingy, and I actually left the course without losing a ball!

The pace was perfect! No waiting on the group in front of us, and no one waited on us. The carts are very smart and worked very well, including distance to the hole, club head and ball cleaners, and plenty of seed mix for divot repair

In addition, everyone I met was very pleasant. The only changes I would make are:

1. The snack bar provide healthier snacks and larger water bottles.

2. The driving range allow for teeing off.

Their system will not send your final score via e-mail like it said it would.

Singing Hills is an awesome place to golf. The scenery is beautiful and the course is well-kept. Of course it’s under construction but for a good reason. The staff is always very accommodating and friendly. The amenities are awesome.

The only complaint I have is that the Marshall‘s are not doing a good job of moving slow players forward. There are so many beginner players out there that don’t understand etiquette, or the pace of play. I have been behind groups that fall to two holes behind because they don’t know what they are doing. A little education from the Marshall could help these people improve their pace. There are a lot of parents out there, teaching eight year old kids, how to golf during their round. Education needs to happen on the driving range and the par three courses. There are adults that shouldn’t even be golfing on a long course. But with a little help from the Marshall, they might learn to pick up after 10 strokes and go to the next hole.

The Oaks course is in great condition and we had a great time playing.

Renovations look great, still some work going on but overall a very nice course.

Over all enjoyable experience .

Course could be in better condition but 17 of 18 greens rolled smooth . 18 green is very different from the others and rolls slow .

The staff is awesome and accommodating .
