About
Singing Hills Golf Club offers two 18-hole championship courses, Oak Glen and Willow Glen, as well as a 9-hole, par-3 course. The courses are tucked into a valley, surrounded by mountains and sloping hillsides that provide stunning backdrops on almost every hole. The Sweetwater River runs through the Oak Glen Course, coming into play on several holes including the memorable fifth hole, which is definitely a contender for one of the best par 4s in San Diego. This challenging hole requires an accurate drive across the river. The gently rolling terrain is sprinkled with mature trees. The layout features undulating greens and tight fairways. It is a challenging golf course but it is generally forgiving off of the tees, which makes it slightly less difficult than the hillier Willow Glen Course on property.

Terrible Experience
Not pleased with the treatment we received at the pro shop or on the course. They charged us for 3 additional players when we only booked for 10. I was told when I booked the tee time that even though we had 10 players they were going to put us down for 12 so that we wouldn't be holding up the rate of play. We ended up having 9 of the 10 players show up because one of them had COVID and couldn't make it. But they decided to charge me $1,200 for 9 players. Secondly we were threatened by the guy from the pro shop that if we were caught playing near our 2 groups of 4, that we would be booted off the course. We were told that the Marshall would be on the lookout for us. This was WHILE WE WERE TRYING TO TEE OFF ON THE FIRST HOLE BTW.
We have played here the last 3 years for our annual company Christmas party. Unfortunately we will not be coming back to play here. We will happily go play another course that is welcoming to our group.
I would also like to reiterate that the guy from the pro shop was super rude and left a terrible taste. My wife was very offended at the way he spoke to us and made us feel stupid for even being out there.
I would like to get refunded for the additional charges to my debit card that were NOT authorized and I feel tricked and swindled by the pro shop.
Gorgeous fall day at Oak Glen
What a fabulous round. Course was beautiful. Scenery was amazing and pace was grand. Love the pro shop and this whole facility. We both enjoyed our day and round tremendously!

Under Construction
No one is going to tell you that this course is STILL under construction (and has been for years). The day I played ALL of the fairways were closed to cart traffic and the 18th hole was completely closed. While I appreciate the improvements, they are still charging a hefty fee to play here in spite of the course not being fully playable. The carts here are geofenced and will just randomly stop working and force you to back up. This would be fine if there was any rhyme or reason to the geofencing. It got really annoying to have my cart stop working for no apparent reason.

Pace of play
More should be done to keep the pace of play moving. No marshal patrol insuring everyone was was keeping up .

Good pace. Greens are nice. Weekend rate hurt
Course is looking good. Pace was great, especially for willow being shut down for upgrades. Greens rolled well. Weekend rates are getting out of control. Not just here but everywhere it seems.

Overpriced for the value
Love the layout and design of this course. For the price of $100 I feel they could improve the tee boxes and bunkers. We also got stuck behind 3 ladies that were taking their sweet time and had almost a 2 hole gap in the group in front of them….no Marshall in site. You can play a lot nicer courses in the area for less money.

Our Favorite Local Course
We have played here for years now. Our favorite course is Oak Glen. There’s so much to say about the courses overall. (I say it mostly in the many pictures I take and post on Yelp.) It’s so picturesque. The landscape has always been beautiful and well taken care of. But now there’s more gorgeous water features, waterfalls and ponds. It may mean more trouble to avoid and ways to lose a ball, but it’s so pretty to look at.
The course itself is so well manicured. The greens are smooth and pretty consistent overall. The tee boxes can sometimes have small spots to avoid but are mostly in good condition. The facilities are clean and nice. Good to know for potty stops! The carts are conveniently equipped with fantastic GPS screens that are very accurate. A great feature to have in very comfortable carts. And we can always know there will be a cart girl coming around for us to pick up a Gatorade or something to eat as needed. There is a good selection from which to choose.
I know there is even more work being done around the courses, but it’s worth whatever temporary inconvenience there might be to make things even better. It’s great to see the ownership really investing into making this place a golfer’s choice destination. And we are so thankful that we are able to find great deals so we can regularly enjoy Sycuan (affectionately aka Singing Hills) Golf Course!

Construction Work Still in Progress
While all of the holes are open, it bears mentioning that they are still doing construction work on this course. Of course, they are still charging full price and won't mention any of this to you before you head out. The course is in decent shape.

Fun course to play
Course was in good shape. Interesting holes & a fee water features. Bent grass green were nice and in good shape. Sand traps were ok.
