About
Willow Glen is one of two 18-hole championship courses at Singing Hills Golf Resort at Sycuan (formerly known as Sycuan Resort), which also boasts an 18-hole, par-3 course. Nestled in a valley between lush hillsides, the golf courses all offer stunning mountain views. The mountains also help to block the wind, which allows for more agreeable playing conditions. Willow Glen is slightly more challenging than the other championship course due to a hillier terrain and more fairways that are tightly lined with mature pines, oaks, and cottonwoods. The trees shape the landing zones and add definition to the doglegs. Proper placement off the tees is necessary for doing well on this course. Contoured mounding borders the greensides as well as more than 40 bunkers. Water also comes into play on six holes. The 11th through the 15th holes are an impressive stretch that presents a variety of challenges as well as unrivaled scenery.

Bad course conditions
Willow glen and oak Glen both are in horrible conditions. The fairways are dry and dirt patches everywhere. The greens are the worst. Almost every green on the has fungus and you can't even putt with the little grass on the greens. With the high rates it is not worth the money to play here.

Terrible round
Half the greens were punched and heavily sanded. Aeriation notice not given. Rest of greens were in poor shape and had black fungus. Balls hardly rolled. Waste of 5.5 hrs of my life. Never be back ever again.

Needs Help. Avoid!
Greens sad with dried scabs and bare spots. Course has fallen from grace but still asking a premium fee. Hope it improves.

Watch out for algae/fungus
Course layout, clubhouse, staff and carts were all really nice and the reason why I would come back. The course conditions wasn't that fantastic. Even the practice greens were SLOW, looks like they haven't been mowed in over a week. The first 9 greens had a lot of algae on them, and the other 9 still showed some. Had to crush my putt just to get it to go 30 feet. It's probably because of the algae the reason why they don't mow the greens. My ball plugged multiple times on a course where it doesn't rain much, which means they over water. I'll go back but gonna try a different course next time to see if it's any different.

Rough greens
The greens on Willow were terrible. I understand things happen and greens get damaged, but would it be too much for the pro shop personnel to mention it when we checked in and paid. After the round I mentioned just that and the guy at the desk just said, well you booked it on GolfNow and they should've had a message about it. Really? I said, you should've/could've said something as well when you took my money earlier. "Not my job" blow off. Pretty lame.

Horrible conditions
Greens are overgrown and slow with dried up dirt and bad patches.
For 70$ this course is double what it should be.

Rough
Greens were just irritated and staff didn't mention it during booking.
Tee boxes were mostly dirt and the fairways on the first 5 holes were a mess. They just re-soded.
Pace of play was horrible. Took 3 hours just to play the front 9. Teed off around 230 and barely finished.
Definitely would not play course again.

Sycuan Golf Course Needs work
Took a group of friends out on a week day. Now many players on the course should of be the first sign. The pictures on their website had to be when the course was in peak condition. Most of the greens were in bad shape. Fairways/rough were in decent shape but had places where two different types of grass were growing. There seemed to be multiple workers working on the course, so maybe it will get better. The course layout was good.

Really bad shape
Greens in every hole are in the worst shape I’ve ever seen. Unplayable. Massive chunks and holes all over the place.
The price is really high. They should close the course and get it fixed.
